All the neighboring apartments have already been bought out by a company which has some very profitable plans for that piece of land. The Play That Goes Wrong

23/2/2017

Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, Kenny Wax Ltd and Stage Presence in association with David Atkins Enterprises and ABA International Touring present the Mischief Theatre Production
The Play That Goes Wrong
DATES: February 22 till 18 March (Melbourne dates only)
VENUE: Comedy Theatre, Melbourne
Olivier Award winning theatre company Mischief Theatre are bringing their comedy masterpiece The Play That Goes Wrong to Australia for the first time from February next year. Acclaimed with five star reviews and currently playing to packed houses in the West End this brilliant comedic piece will open in Melbourne on 22 February followed by Adelaide on 28 March, Sydney from 5 April, Canberra from 26 April 2017, Brisbane from 6 May 2017, and in Perth from 31 May 2017.
The play introduces ‘The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society' who are attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong...does, as the accident-prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call.
Co-written by Mischief Theatre company members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields and directed by Mark Bell, The Play That Goes Wrong is a highly physical comedy packed with finely-tuned farce and Buster Keaton inspired slapstick delivered with split-second timing and ambitious daring.
Original London Mischief Director Mark Bell has been in Australia holding auditions to find a suitably incompetent bunch of actors to deliver Mischief Theatre’s trademark comic mayhem. The Australian cast will be announced shortly.
The Play That Goes Wrong got it absolutely right when right when it clinched a number of accolades including the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy 2015, BroadwayWorld UK Winner for Best New Play 2015 and WhatsOnStage Award Winner for Best New Comedy 2014. The critically-acclaimed production continues to thrive in the West End playing to sold-out houses. Chaos will continue across the UK with a second nationwide tour, recently announced along with news that The Play That Goes Wrong is Broadway bound in 2017.
Mischief Theatre was founded in 2008 by a group of graduates of The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and began as an improvised comedy group. The company perform across the UK and internationally with improvised and original scripted work. This is Mischief's first Australian Tourand they look forward to Going Wrong, upside down, on the other side of the world.

ATTENTION TO ALL CREATIVE MINDS!

16/2/2017

ATTENTION TO ALL CREATIVE MINDS: photographers, actors, designers, writers, models, artists, stylists, MUAHs, artistic directors...and much more
there is an incredible book soon to be published by Simon & Schuster Australia called The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows
The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a compendium of #InventedWords written by a freelance designer from Minnesota currently living with his wife in Amsterdam #JohnKoenig . Each original word and its definition aims to fill a hole in the language-to give a name to emotions we all might experience but don't yet have a word for.
http://www.dictionaryofobscuresorrows.com/ The author has a ferocious curiosity about the art and science of being human, especially language, mythology, poetry, and the natural world. His dictionary has been acclaimed by New York Magazine, Washington Post Express, author John Green, blogger Jason Kottke, and the guys from Radiolab Podcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26JK_Xw_laQ
what I have in mind with all my love and hate for words: John's thoughts are very good for the artistic inspiration. the word for this month is #Lutalica
~LUTALICA~
The Part of Your Identity That Doesn't Fit Into Categories https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz1PNIOQsFs
ANNOUNCING COMPETITION on the best high fashion/avant garde style photograph or set of photographs that will fit into the category "Lutalica". The photos should be artistic, new and striking. We publish the best photos in our magazine to share with our readers.
The due date for submission is 18 March 1200pm. The works should be sent in the form of an attachment or a dropbox link with the full list of credits to accompany it to natasha.marchev@gmail.com . Your photos should be a work of art in fashion - each image though should like it could be a part of a collective story. I would also like to hear your story of inspiration - please make it 2-3 sentences short and sweet.
This first small step will be our "rose trial grounds" for the future bigger step.
