a couple of days ago I received a call from Olga Kirk who talked excited about the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA)'s performance. She mentioned that this circus is nothing to what we all used to see in Europe : it is mesmerizing, beautiful, sexy and it is for adults really but her kids were glued to the stage - the effect that she has never seen happened to them before... http://www.nica.com.au/
anyway , here we go:
Prue Bassett Publicity and National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) presented
#Company18, A Variety Circus Show Curated by James Brown till Sep 22http://www.nica.com.au/ /
Olga Kirk reviews the show for all our readers:
"Some of Australia’s hottest emerging contemporary circus artists are delivering breathtaking show of physical endurance and gravity defying stunts when the National Circus Centre 18 performers showcase the culmination of three years of elite training with dazzling roue Cyr, hula hoops, adagio, swinging trapeze, unicycle, handstands and aerial rope skills on display..." ATTENTION TO ALL CREATIVE MINDS:
photographers, actors, designers, writers, models, artists, stylists, MUAHs, artistic directors.,..and others alike
there is the challenge described:
In his absorbing Web series http://www.dictionaryofobscuresorrows.com/ , writer and editor #JohnKoenig gives names to deep longings and vague feelings in the form of brief, beautiful videos. Subtitled "For lack of a better world," Koenig tries to create a better world by calling attention to sensations that made you think, "maybe it's just me, but…"
His 'The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows' is a compendium of #InventedWords. Each original word and its definition aims to fill a hole in the language-to give a name to emotions we all might experience but don't yet have a word for.
The author has a ferocious curiosity about the art and science of being human, especially language, mythology, poetry, and the natural world. His dictionary has been acclaimed by New York Magazine, Washington Post Express, author John Green, blogger Jason Kottke, and the guys from Radiolab Podcast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26JK_Xw_laQ
we used the word Lutalika as a keyword for the creation of the MARQUIS FASHION MAGAZINE first pilot issue print
the next word is Olēka:
The Awareness of How Few Days Are Memorable
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FKsCK6Vfuk
ANNOUNCING COMPETITION on the best high fashion/avant garde style photograph or set of photographs that will fit into the category "Olēka". The photos should be artistic, new and striking. We publish the best photos in our second issue of the Marquis magazine.
The due date for submission is 12 October 1200pm. The works should be sent in the form a dropbox link with the full list of credits to accompany it to natasha.marchev@gmail.com . Your photos should be a work of art in fashion - each image should be like a part of a collective story. I would also like to hear your story of inspiration - please make it 2-3 sentences.

Coldstream and Yarra Valley region : search for new photo shoot location

28/9/2018

added 74 new photos to the album: COLDSTREAM ALBUM.
 · History
we did not have much sleep with Alex for the last 3-4 days working on the new surprise for all our readers so we shamelessly slept in today and woke up at 0900am ... so our decision to leave the city for the short and sunny country trip was rather spontaneous and driven by the excuse of fresh air head-cleansing and green grass views brain-washing (the latter was literate of course!)
Reality
The Tokar Estate Winery hooked us in I guess... They never stamp our Entertainment Book card so we are so much attached to that place now by our own flagrant greediness... If they never do that we will end up visiting them weekly... so we should be very persistent to end this vicious Coldstream circle... I restrained myself from photographing all their flowers outside and decided to do some more dumb food-photos. I praise their olives.I have no idea where this tree is that produces such a gorgeous variety of green, small, black and giant species like that mixed in virgin olive oil with a pinch of red chilly peppers added to the brew... gorgeous... gorgeous... I praise their fresh and crusty bread that I loooooooove the most with the sides of course... i praise their coffees .. they know their coffees very well .. .we failed on the duck last time so lamb (bara---aaaa---aaa---aa--shek) was
taking the top notes and votes. I voted too to be a friendly company for Alex. The lamb won the elections and was praised.
The Star Wars
We drove off happy after this meal, chatting and ... as you know the red helicopters appear always unexpectedly in movies.... THEY DID APPEAR!!! Dasha and Tosha were even more surprised as less they expected here the aliens... We thought at once: STAR WARS; THERE ARE STAR WARS.... Finally!!! but after driving around them for almost an hour we could not find any stars , no wars were present either... It was a Levantine Hill Estate with its weird sculptures.
~ baba in yelllow lying around quite free-vo-ly
~ the arc of French triomphe (Australian variety)
~ petal ad more petals
~ parking meters (my favorite as at least this one had some sense!!!)
~ two kids without driving licence driving a turtle
~ three aliens! (Dasha and Tosha were very excited to see their bodies from outer space - ok!!!)
~ two rabbits acrobats although Alex was quite sure he saw the wallabies with long ears
~ another baba in gold
~ cherry tree and live Ferrari
~ a pine tree made out of rusty iron although I always prefer ugly plastic Christmas trees....
~ that's it folks!
As we were in a slight culture shock after this wide local exposition of talents (Alex personally preferred the wooden baba in yellow top) but I was so overwhelmed with suggestions I could not choose what I liked the most... it was very silent in the car after that for around 12 min... till the next stop of which I suddenly remember - we did not make it last time - TarraWarra Estate - at least we had something on our list to look forward to.
Tara Unbottled
was like an empty, bitchy, aging and heartless model: still ok on the outside and unwelcoming from the inside.. I suddenly realised what I liked so much some 20 years ago lost its charm and not only the exterior one... but perhaps even the interior was never there:.. all my emails to the owners of this place for the last two years remained unanswered. All the "sings" surrounding this venue were so wrong but I still did not listen and did not trust to my intuition... My stubbornness was pushing me to speak. No one looked important until I walked into the cellar door. The reception was cold and after being neglected for 20 minutes the reticence was finally followed by quite a strange conversation with the "manager" - I got the message right. It was kindly mentioned between the lines #noonecareswhatyouwant with the most unfamiliar words to me like #whoareyou #nationaltrust#mymanagerisineurope #Europe, #Europe #Ferrari, Maserati, @Porsche#bigmoney, #TVcompanies #everyonewantsus #marketingdirector, #willspeakwithyou #misunderstanding #ispeakwithwinebuyersonly#youdonotlookserious #youwilllnotbuyanythingfrommesovanish#staryjperduntysam etc etc. I realised the place got a "self promotion" right in front of my eyes and in its worst way from us straight away. If you pass it buy - just pass it by, do not stop, no one waits for you there, there are better wineries out there, there are better art galleries out there, with young, very welcoming people who work hard for their money, and who understand how marketing really works. They did not buy me for 4 cents and i was dear. they lost a many million dollars business unless - and I got it right - they did not want it. I suddenly realised I am deeply loosing the interest to the company that does not even want to know and does not care what the others do. Good luck to them. One more thing: I open my house to everyone no $10 charge for the entrance fee... and it is not even a National Trust. I thought always National Trust of Australia (Victoria) mean people belonging, it is for people as museums in Russia are free for Russians and not free for the foreigners - that was the reason of creating it - for the nation - but I think it was otherwise now...
Home,
sweet home after the last experience. We will come back to Tokar Estate 100% and will investigate the other wineries and art galleries in the region - and there are many very new and good architecture-wise - for the subject of a photoshoot, We just need not to work that hard and wake up earlier. .. Well, apart from TarraWarra the others do not charge money for stepping our feet on their soil... after all they are the ones who produce that soil so it does not belong to our feet... it belongs to their feet.

AIBO Inaugural Launch

added 135 new photos to the album: AIBO Inaugural Launch.
AIBO Inaugural Launch washosted by Manish Dhingra, @RadhaRavichandran, Tamilmurasu Ragupathy and Neelam Rai and took place on Sunday 16 at 1100am at PVR-Parkview Receptions (owner: Amarjot Arora) 3 Frog Court, Craigieburn, Victoria, Australia 3064https://www.facebook.com/events/268310860676771/
photography: Elena Tretiakova
review: Natasha Marchev
AIBO is a community not for profit organisation and laconic abbreviation stands for Australia India Business Organisation. The name that speaks for itself and for the activities done so far and are planned for the future. We say: business happens when like-minded people meet with ignited minds.
With numerous guests present, the event welcomed among many the VIP guests of honor: Craig Ondarchie MP, a State Member for Northern Metropolitan, .Jim Overend - Ray White Craigieburn, Deepak Vinayak JP at Liberal Victoria , many business owners with the Australians of Indian origin interested in Australia-India relationship development and lots of other guests. The event was MC-ed by talented Prashansa Prashar Kapoor . The event was opened by the speech of Craig Ondarchie and followed by the speeches of the other guests of the event. We will highlight the key ideas of the presenters and the major points of their speeches.
The initiative of establishing the AIBO by Tamilmurasu Ragupathy, Manish Dhingra and Neelam Rai is absolutely great keeping in mind that Indian immigrant community in Australia has its unique niche. It currently grows in the direction to be financially, economically and personally inter-connected to both Australia and India. As the community grows from its original volume and reaches new altitude, AIBO will be paying a significant role in catering the growing needs of small businesses on each side of the ocean and across both nations. We see the greater opportunities for the Indian community benefiting from Australia India Business Organization built!
The Sunday meeting hosted Kapil Thakkar who talked on ethics and communities.
Australia India Business Organization, AIBO's major purpose is to make and develop the ties between India and Australia. The secret of good relationship is very simple: to work in close tandem and to cultivate and nurture the united and healthy bridges between two nations and countries. The community now has the organisation with such a fantastic platform that takes initiative of unquestionably biggest leap towards promoting and creating extraordinary business opportunities between Australia and India.
While there is an abundance of opportunities for business created between both countries, there is also an enormous scope of serious work in the many sectors across such businesses with some obvious cross-country investment possibilities. There are also and obviously challenges that both sides will be able to overcome together with support of such not for profit organisation as AIBO and as a result to facilitate some targeted investments in many industries and markets between both countries.
Traditionally India and Australia shared the common values in business, politics and economics as well as common constitutional statements which makes the work between two countries very positive and easy. The aim of the AIBO to establish not only the international links but the strong local community, government and federal connections.
Neelam in her speech on stage has kindly offered Craig to be an official patron of AIBO the suggestion which Craig kindly accepted with a humble mention that Neelam is soon to be the first Indian woman in the Australian Parliament.
The event went on while the first members started to join the organisation on the spot.
The speech of Ginny Kohli Gulati highlighted the importance of establishing the Australian India Business Organisation. With innovations and ideas like no other, the focus is on building stronger links between Australia and India trade to give true benefit to small business operators. AIBO will provide a base for entrepreneurs to come forward and share ideas in growth and development. The focus of this organisation is first of all on fostering friendships, exchange business ideas, build organic connections and to create special opportunities by building relationships between Autsralia and India and working together towards success and growth.
We all had time also to interact with each other , with various small business owners who shared their experiences including growth and challenges. The Local Hero Chef by Mr. Amarjot Arora creayed so many tastes that everyone enjoyed. The presentation hall was filled with aroma and flavours of Indian Kitchen. All the venue staff were looking after the guests very well with a genuine smile. This venue of Craigieburn community is loved by many. Sponsored by 3 KEYS FOOD GROUP - Mr. Jimmy was proud to serve us all DONNA ITALIA fresh PIZZA.
Kiran Ashvik Sood presentation at the stage in front of all the guests was welcomed by everyone present. The speeches of VIP guests and launch hosts were following one after the other while the guests were having lunch and refreshments.
The event was also sponsored and supported by Sathish Durairajan, @GurkanGurgur (Organic Innovations @organicinnovation_au) , who spoke about his family history, his own journey and his latest discoveries on the subject organic remedies. The company is all about organic & natural products for all types of health requirements.
There is no Indian (even very serious) event that takes place without an entertainment which was the case at the AIBO Launch this time as well. We witnessed spectacular dancers performing in between the presentations.
Bohemian Rhapsody Club and Magazine expresses its special thanks to the organisers for the invite and the opportunity to cover the event (and personally to Manish and Neelam) as as to Elene for her quick snaps following the VIP guests and covering the whole event.
