Please read Julie Dargan's review published (Julie, very grateful!!):
Thank you for the offer to review the book Bed and Broccoli...a very special vegan experience.
This is certainly a book with a difference. From the outset the book is beautifully bound with some astounding photography. With so any ebooks on the market you wonder if books will survive? I certainly hope that people will still go to such efforts to produce such beautiful hardbacks. In my mind, nothing beats the feel and texture of a REAL book.
The book, Bed and Broccoli, is an unusual book. The author is a professional animal communicator and has some funny experiences with her pet hen, Miss Dinks. Not one animal suffers in the creation of this book as the author, Nikki Medwell, is a true Vegan. She will not even use the hens or duck feathers in her bed covers!
Some of the recipes look devine. I used to be a strict vegetarian and used replacements of soy products but have since turned 360 degrees myself and will avoid soy in any recipe. How’s that for a change, I replace all soy milk with real cow’s milk in any of the recipes in this book! The roast pumpkin laksa on page 55 is absolutely divine.
An interesting read, wonderful stories, and definitely a great experience into another world.
