The efforts of amazing woman and the lead in the house and our personal friend Selba! She was an organic glue of the community putting all the parties together under one roof and making them all feel like blood brothers and sisters from the vast Australian multicultural community. Sports is a fantastic tool in creating an atmosphere of uniting and a strong sense of presence, grounding and social belonging The guests of honor included Gabrielle Williams MP, Deputy Commissioner of Police Andrew Crisp, the Mayor of Dandenong, VMC Commissioner Mimi Watts, Magistrate Pauline Spencer, many senior officials of Vic Pol, as well as many members of Basketball Victoria and prominent members of the African community.
The Grand Finals for the Black Rhinos Senior team was played and the exhibition games were promoted played against Victoria Police men's and women's basketball teams.
