I was driving along the empty streets of CBD on Sunday night (this is a real story BTW) reading the flashing signs: STAY AT HOME, YOU MUST, STAY LOCKED. DO NOT SPREAD. DO NOT DRIVE ALONG LONSDALE STREET . So I felt sorry I did not have anything to spread accept the knowledge, good advises (to myself first of all) and some messages... The streets were empty , the city looked like a ghost town from the sci-fi movie. There were people in white robes and white masks working on something very important, marching the streets and holding STOP and SLOW signs. They were not on Lonsdale Sreet. I was thinking I was in the Universal Studios in LA again, the futuristic looking Jedi wouldl re-appear soon from the corner and will say: "Now I know there is something stronger than fear - far stronger. The Force..." There were hardly any cars driving - one or two per longest street. I did a couple of circles just out of curiosity. There were still cafes and restaurants open with seldom visitors inside for take aways - a rushing off couple and an Asian student in spectacles. People tend to go out and eat as they have simply forgotten how to put love in their food... They simply ran out of love to offer with their own food or they refuse to eat the cooked at home meal for the same reason - lack of love inside such food. They start to believe that love can be found somewhere else: in the cafes, restaurants, fast food and take aways. There are not many places that cook restaurant food with love. Even if they do this is not the love you are after. You buy it . You pay money for this love. They lack it themselves. Many do not place it in food. We can taste love in food. We keep coming back to this places but the best one is the one you can cook at home for your friends and family as you know exactly who is coming and what thought forms to attach to the dish. If your chef is tired you will feel it in his food . If your mum loves you her food tastes simply divine. You accept the food from someone only if you love the person. You will never eat something from the hands of the person you do not like. We forgot how to put love in our food. We go out for different reasons. We go out to eat with the excuse that we do not have time to cook at home. We simply say that we can not cook "like this" at home. How you feel love from the place that serves you food? The chef himself comes out and serves what he cooked. We ask this at different locations and they know us and do it for us. He serves his food with love and smile too... But we still buy his love. Let's come back to the home made meals. The ancient medical / pharmaceutical recipes were also the first cook books. The recipes included herbs, leaves, brews,, mushrooms, berries, all the right ingredients that complimented and enhanced each others qualities. I wrote about it many times before: "let your food be your medicine, and let your medicine be your food..." I have not put one medical drug into my body in the last 35 years. For the simple natural remedy recipes our grandmas used whole chicken stock to heal flue and cold, rye bread to heal upset stomach, strong teas and coffees to heal headaches, etc etc , the list goes on... They are the recipes that help your body to make your immune system strong, to build you, not to destroy you... Why do we go out to eat food again? It is fashionable too. It is well accepted, It is socially engaging. People love to see the photos of food. They are neutral, they look good, they are colorful, they are simple, they are triggering the very basic and common emotions in everybody... I find it so attractive too to see when a woman / man cooks at home and puts lots of positive energy inside a simple meal that shows real skills and even "tastes" good on photos. :) There is magic many people put in their home made meals. It makes the family, it creates love and warmth in the family. You say thank you not for the food but what energy the chef put inside your meal... [now one more question: is god also locked down now or he is still out there ? ... ] ...................................... Transitions Film Festival Melbourne invites you to see a new scientific documentary called #IAmHuman https://www.cinemanova.com.au/films/tff-i-am-human Following the courageous journeys of the world’s first “cyborgs” – a quadriplegic, a blind man and a woman with Parkinson’s, I Am Human covers the ways science is cracking the mysteries of the brain and using them to solve huge problems in people’s lives. The documentary unpacks the emerging complexity, real world possibilities and imminent implications of merging machine and human intelligence. A female-directed and produced sci-fi documentary, I Am Human explores the co-evolution of humans and technology. There are several hundred thousand people in the world with implantable technology in their brains. By the year 2029, that number – based on industry estimations – is expected to triple. The film follows the harrowing and courageous journeys of three of the world’s first “cyborgs” and the scientists and entrepreneurs on the cusp of unlocking the secrets of the human brain. Shot on anamorphic lenses and with unparalleled access to the breakthrough technologies that will change the course of humanity, I Am Human aims to give the audience a front row seat to the future – and bridge the divide between sci-fi storytelling and real-world aspiration. In the film, meet Anne, Bill, and Stephen. Bill, paralysed in a biking accident, signs up for a mysterious research study in hopes to regain movement. Stephen, a former Canadian government IT officer, undergoes a novel bionic eye implantation to regain sight. Anne, a former artist with degenerative Parkinson’s, considers deep brain stimulation as a solution to her worsening symptoms. As we follow their three journeys, society is forced to reconcile with the larger implications: will the same technologies that heal disease and dysfunction lead to super human abilities, telepathic communication, and cognitive enhancement? In addition to the primary characters, the film features institutions including The Wyss Center, Duke University, Case Western Reserve University, University of Washington, BrainGate2, and Second Sight and interviews with entrepreneur Bryan Johnson, neuroscientists John Donoghue, Andres Lozano, David Eagleman, Andres Lozano, Bobby Kasthuri, Chantel Prat, and Miguel Nicolelis, surgeon Robert Devenyi, sci-fi author Ramez Naam, ethicist Tristan Harris and professor of law and philosophy Nita Farahany, amongst others. “When I began as a neuroscientist it was impossible to imagine that curiosity to figure out the greatest puzzle of what it means to be human – brain research – could lead in my lifetime to a whole field that will have vast impact on humanity,” says Director of the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering, Dr. John Donoghue. “I think a fundamental understanding of a principle by which the brain computes will be one of the greatest revolutions in scientific history.” *This film has been exempt from classification and is restricted to people over 15 years. People under 15 must be accompanied by an adult please read our review published: http://bohemianrhapsodyclub.weebly.com/la-premiere.html trailer: Moving Art Studio and Cinema Nova exclusively cordially invite you to watch Fantastic Fungi 2019 movie currently screening at Cinema Nova June 12, 2019 From the Maui Film Festival's Celestial Cinema. Madman Films present a documentary called The Biggest Little Farm https://www.madman.com.au/…/v…/47850/the-biggest-little-farm in cinemas January 12 A testament to the immense complexity of nature, The Biggest Little Farm follows two dreamers and a dog on an odyssey to bring harmony to both their lives and the land. When the barking of their beloved dog leads to an eviction notice from their tiny LA apartment, John and Molly Chester naively make the choice to move to the country to build a sustainable farm. The land they’ve chosen, however, is utterly depleted of nutrients and suffering from a brutal drought. THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM chronicles eight years of daunting work and outsized idealism as they attempt to create an utopia of 10,000 orchard trees, over 200 different crops and animals of every kind – including an unforgettable pig named Emma and her best friend, Greasy the rooster. As their plan to create perfect harmony takes a series of wild turns, they realise that to survive they will have to reach a far greater understanding of the intricacies and wisdom of nature, and of life itself. Beautifully capturing the remarkable scale of the journey and featuring unforgettable characters of both the two and four-legged variety, THE BIGGEST LITTLE FARM is an inspiring and educational story for the whole family. please follow Alex First's review published: http://bohemianrhapsodyclub.weebly.com/la-premiere.html trailer: Would the cows ever guess there will be an alternatives to them : vanilla almond yogurt , berries and fruit !
