I heard a legend about one little boy who was raised by the photo cameras but it is only an ancient legend I guess that might be only partially true...
My story today is about Glen Wilson.
Glen came to Bohemian Rhapsody Club to one of our auditions (and yes, in the old days we did run auditions) and we sat down and spoke. Glen mentioned that he did lots of on stage photography in the past and would be extremely keen to cover any opera and ballet media reviews for us images-wise. I was excited as to get a photographer of this caliber who knows the stage specific type of shoots is very hard and would be a pure luck. Glen had years behind of this experience. He also mentioned that he runs lots of weddings for life and his pretty large family including his gorgeous and supportive wife usually assists him in the latter photos.
Glen was very open minded and he never said 'no' to any 'diry' job be it in media coverage for red carpets, multiple events and even our own house concerts - he was always here at the Club and with us. Glen's relationships with Life and People got reflected in his art works: talent and kindness always go together hand in hand. There is no creativity in the mind that is busy with evil and not pure thoughts... and vise versa: your bad thoughts prevent you to communicate with god and the inspiration to creativity as a result of this communication.
Glen's humble nature and his always quiet but strong presence and assistance was such a supportive shoulder of constant help for the whole crew and the Club in general. His photos for Russian Ballet, Theaters and Musicians on stage were close to none in quality and originality.
Glen was noticed so many times by our crew members who invited him for the wedding shoots from one side and by the agents who were keen to employ him on this and that jobs from the other side.
We say: "when the hunter is ready the animal appears" with the deep meaning of "the amazing opportunity comes to the one who seeks it" or "the ball comes to the player" so the bigger opportunity came...
Once our film maker did not show up and we asked Glen to make a short video for our event. Glen kindly agreed without hesitation and the video turned to be very good. The taste of film-making made the step two for Glen possible. Glen got the crazy idea to buy an expensive equipment which was I guess a heart and pocket breaking at the start but the investment brought its rewards shortly after. The wedding shoots were enriched by the video coverage, our events got a new video-grapher with outstanding imagination and diverse approach and the jobs followed one after another...
No, this is not a praise song for our Club although at moments it seems like one. I am trying to make you all to read between the lines and see the joy and the opportunity for yourself in what we all trying to do here: we are not about profit or money making... Yes we attract attention but this is only a result of a good and hard work, the honest name and reputation and the professional and skillful people who work with us. But I am doing it all wrongly again: this is not about us - this is all about Glen today....
Glen basically made it so skillfully - his way to the total success in his freelance business that is flourishes now in its best. It does not matter what skills you have: people value, responsibility, good relationship and right attitude towards each other, full respect to each other, working on relationship that seem broken, the ability start from scratch, to put yourself on the same level as the people who work next to you, being understanding and passionate about your work and self growth, self growth and endless self development... and finally may be - liking what you do no matter how hard it is sometimes even to like.
Glen's skills in photography are amazing, but his skills in filming are the blast! I totally love his works...
Let's see how it all started (the video part)

and more reassured of its own existence:

with some absolutely awesome masterpieces following right after as if Glen made a huge lap in years and years of intense training - he learnt so fast - it was almost impossible but it was a reality that was just so sensational with the WOW WOW WOW result:

and this is what happens nowadays as we almost take Glen for granted - a gem on its own, bright and unforgettable, modest and honest, and we are so blessed to have Glen here in our crew... we miss him when he is not here, but when he is my heart sings.

Should we believe the legend? I say something and after three persons telling and retelling the same story eventually the news get transformed , it 's like a broken phone... now imagine the myth being transformed for centuries: they get so much metamorphosed that you do not know what was the original truth and what was the reality :) ... I mean the subjective imagination.... so what about that boy raised by the photo and video cameras.... ? was he real?
@GlenWilson thank you for just touching our lives and for being here!
