easy to say than to write about something, right?
I really favoured this place when I first visited t with Ned Vorkapic and ordered the same dish: Vietnamese salmon salad. I remember it was greatly decorated and tasted amazing: it was crispy, oriental and spicy the taste was balanced and the salad was made with so much love
I order the same dish there year after year but no idea why the salad keeps changing without getting better for some reason. I might change it next year but that will be my lats try if it does not work
this time the salad was very watery, no Asian flour noticed, the fish was boiled and tasted - hm... a bit strange to me, the green parts f the salad were ruined as you can not out the hot/warm fish on the top of the greens without damaging the flavor - it HAS to be cold. the warmness of the salmon did not enhance the flavor, on the contrary, the salad was made loveless . what I loved was a violet mayo that gave the salad a colored lift otherwise it would simply be a home made quick hand salad prepared from the last night leftovers.
we were really hungry as we did not eat anything till almost 0200pm but it would be actually much better without something that tasted that bad.
the coffees were very poor in flavour. I was told the cafe uses Dimattina Coffeebeans - I love this coffee brand but again - the coffees were not good.
