A modern outtake of this is the collaboration between Fashion Designer Wan Bynun and Sarawak Songket Weaver, Maskota. Title 'Songket Sarawak' the collection is an attempt to combine a traditional form with modern design and silhouettes. Featuring the beauty of Sarawak Handwoven Songket. The uniqueness of sarawak hand woven songket that make it different from those produce in other states is the back of the songket is also neatly woven by using the hidden thread technique and it can be worn on both sides.
