· ok, my fourth challenge
cooking Riz A Jej using as promised the recipe from the book Yallateef! by #MarwaMakool @marwamakool
I am publishing my snaps step by step and the final photos.
ingredients (slightly changed for this recipe):
1 piece of chicken breast
1 cu of rice
1/2 tsp of no salt salt
1/2 tsp morerockin seasoning
1/2 tsp mixed spices (baharat)
1/2 tsp Alleppo pepper
a handful of slivered almonds
a handful of pine nuts
2 tbs of rice bran oil
fresh garden parsley for decoration
I cooked chicken separately in water as directed
I fried all the spices with onion and added rice at the end then I combined the cooked chicken pieces with the mixture of spices ad rice and added the 2 cups of broth from the boiled chicken. Cooked for 12 minutes and left it to stay under cover for another 12 minutes
ready in no time - very easy to cook
we have not tried it yet... but the aroma is awesome.
