I recently had the privilege of doing a review of the Geelong Adventure Park.

If you are looking for somewhere to take the family on a hot summers day I highly recommend the Geelong Adventure Park. Their website covers any questions you may be thinking of but I will cover a few here:
· Free ample car parking
· Entrance includes access to all rides and attractions
· BBQ’s and strollers are available at a cost and are on a first come first serve basis.
· Lockers for hire to store purses and car keys so the whole family can relax.

The Park is fantastic at allowing families to bring their own picnics for the day. There are plenty of tables, under cover, tree coverage for blankets as well as open spaces for you to erect your own portable pop ups, which I was most impressed with.

There is an abundance of well-maintained land for you to stroll about in, or take the train and travel around the whole of the grounds. I highly recommend this on your first trip, as it will allow you to take in all your surroundings and decide where to spend most of your time.

Everywhere I went I saw staff patrolling the area so safety is a high priority, which is always reassuring for parents.

There are plenty of chairs to relax on but my advice is if you want to make sure to snag one on a particular hot day to get in early.

There are 2 mini-golf areas to choose from which is always a hit with my children. Nothing like following them on a round of mini-golf in 35C heat! I was impressed at the amount of shade I had while following them which shows the attention to detail that went into making the water park, seeing as it would most frequently be attended to during the hot weather.

For anyone going make sure to visit the website first to get a great idea on what to expect and where you want to base yourself. If you have young tots take your portable pop up tent. Take everything you need for a great picnic because you will be spending the full day there!
