FOOD OF GODS

 FOOD OF GODS
The beautiful and eternally young goddess Artemis is about to go hunting in the early morning. In the evening before her adventure, she, as always, prepares her secret drink of youth and beauty. She is famous at the Olympus with her unfeminine and vigorous character and determination. These qualities of her are surprisingly combined with her fragility, grace and youth. The inhabitants of Olympus drink a potion called "ambrosia" made from flower honey and fruit juice. This is the pledge of the eternal life of the gods, but what is the difference between the divine drink of Artemis? The goddess prepares it in the strictest secrecy. Only her devoted nymphs know this recipe. She takes one yellow apple, three golden apricots, five ripe grapes, cuts the fruit, crushes them with a mortar and squeezes out the juice. She adds two drops of wormwood tincture and seven drops of a strange-smelling liquid. This recipe was kept in the strictest confidence until one of the nymphs blabbed it out to all mortals. The secret ingredient in a rejuvenating drink was onion juice. This plant helps Artemis to look slender and beautiful, to be fast and to protect her on the hunt.
At all times onion was considered to be the food of commoners and peasants. Well, few people know that it was never neglected by kings, emperors and even gods. As ancient myths say, onions are a real gift from heaven, a message to people. It was given to people in order to survive in difficult times. One day the gods gathered and consulted among themselves: to give people a universal unique remedy for all sickness: onion. Onions are the remedy against 100 diseases. This amazing plant has repeatedly saved entire nations from deadly diseases. Onion treatments were mentioned by historians of all times. This plant is very unpretentious and it grows everywhere. So that people of different nationalities could use onions, some gods decided to help people and poured out small black grains in certain areas. From them the wild onion was born. Then people began to cultivate it, select the best plants and spread the plant over to different continents.
In ancient times, this vegetable was considered to be a coded messenger of the gods. The priests and the alchemists thought that the cross section of the onion contained information about the origins of the world and the unity of two opposite principles of the universe: the world's duality. The classical structure of the onion bulb is rounded and the scales are similar to the ancient symbol of Yin and Yang. Indeed it is useful for both women and men as an aphrodisiac and for general health. Onions are the number one vegetable: concentric onion rings symbolize the infinity of the universe. The ancient Egyptians believed that the rings contained information about eternal life, birth, death and rebirth. In the country, the builders of the pyramids believed that the gods hid information about the structure of the cosmos in the onion bulb. Babylonians Sumerians and Assyrians had the same opinion. Ancient astrologers cut the onion and saw that it consists of concentric rings. It turns out that these rings were similar to our universe structure and to the structure of our solar system. Therefore, they made their conclusions based on the structure of the bulb theory.
Onion is a vegetable that helped Pharaohs gain their eternal life. The pharaohs ate onions during their lifetime, and then the bulb accompanied them after physical death. Onions were used in funeral rites and were placed in tombs. The vegetable was used as a mummifying potion: it was placed on eyes and mouth, onion sprouts were placed on the chest and applied to legs. Such cases were recorded during excavations.
Onion helps to gain objectivity, overcome passions. This scientific discovery is on the verge of fantasy! Onions help to cope with food cravings, especially when switching to a vegetarian diet. Truly fruits and vegetables are the manifestations of divine qualities on the material plane. Every fruit and vegetable is a coded message to people from Gods. But how can we read this message? It is interesting that over the years science only confirms what ancient people knew and took as a rule for many years. Our ancestors knew that fruits and vegetables planted by our own hands are growing for us and just for us: they give the person who plants them vivacity and strength. It is a real magic how the plants know it!
Julius Caesar was indebted to onion. It was his secret weapon. Caesar began to go bald early and onion gruel helped him with this problem.
In the notes of the royal cook of Catherine II, there was rather curious information preserved: the empress was rarely interested in the affairs of the kitchen, but in summer and autumn she would often supervise the preparation of the special salad. Following the orders of the empress the salad included lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and green leaves, but the empress watched especially closely how to chop onions. It had to be cut into exceptionally thin rings, scalded with boiling water, and only then put in the salad. Sometimes the empress chose the onion bulbs for the salad herself. The cook managed to find out that the empress was particularly reverent about that onion. It was grown by special technology. It was charged with beauty and success. These magic onions were grown for the empress and her entourage in a special garden. The onion was planted only by unmarried women in complete silence on Saturday mornings. They were supposed to plant onions and happily kiss young men. The onion then turned out to be of magical power, and the couples were supposed to walk around the onion patches three times and make a wish. When such onions ripened, they dug the bulbs out and served them to the highest persons. Such onions were put on the table during important international negotiations. All the negotiations taking place at such a table were peaceful and fruitful. Russia flourished during the reign of Catherine II.
What properties of onions did the peasants know about? They used it to get a rich harvest. The plowman who had to plow the fields, used to cut the onion into two parts. He ate one half and threw the other half into the ground to grow. Fishermen also appreciated this vegetable; before going fishing to the open sea (so that the catch was rich), they girdled themselves with knitted onions. Magicians and sorcerers of all times revered onion for its special memory. Consider that onion absorbs negativity. Supposedly evil energy is drawn into the bulb and into onion rings as if into a funnel and that energy has no way out. Onions restore the bio-field of a particularly tired person very well. If you come home from work tired, take an onion and roll it on your shoulders, hands, body, legs and your back. Your energy will be restored in 10-15 minutes.
In Russia, onions were a favorite means of healing. People treated scurvy, they could not do without it in case of an epidemic too. Few people thought why onions are so useful? Even today, scientists do not fully know all the properties about the usefulness of onions. Onions have more sugar than watermelons. Well, we don't feel it. In Japan, for example, there is a clinic that treats patients only with garlic and onions.
Onion is a talisman against any kind of damage with bad energy and against evil eyes.
In some regions of Russia there is an amazing tradition that has been preserved. Horseradish is another gift the gods gave us. One pagan god left horseradish to people as a reminder of himself. The gods in Russia all had certain names. In one of the territories there was a god whose name was Horseradish. He was the God of wisdom, who was known for his fine writing and he also drew runes, which are not just letters, but signs with energy potential. People turned to him with different questions. God Horseradish endowed people with wisdom and knowledge. He had the knowledge of creating a family and housekeeping. Horseradish god protected and helped people on the road too. Remember the Russian expression: "who the hell (horseradish) knows", which actually means "god knows", but we say this phrase unconsciously.
Healers considered horseradish to be the plant with extraordinarily powerful energy. It was believed that this root is able to open consciousness. In order to see the future healers and sorcerers breathed over horseradish. Horseradish helps to deepen the meditation process, disengage from emotional hindrances and to focus on the purpose of the procedure. Horseradish clears your mind and allows you to expand it. If some thoughts interfere with meditation, you need to eat horseradish or mustard, as they help to improve meditation.
In Russia, horseradish was valued not only as a medicine. This plant helped save the fertile soil for gardens and fields from ravines. People cut down forests to cultivate fields. These powerful roots of horseradish did not allow the soil to crack and fail if horseradish was planted along the perimeter of the field. Horseradish grows everywhere, even in Greenland where only 40 plant species survive. In Russia, horseradish has been used since ancient times. “If I didn’t eat horseradish in the morning, consider that I didn’t have breakfast” - this is a famous Russian proverb. In abandoned fields, horseradish occupied the entire territory as a weed. Horseradish kills deadly bacteria inside your physical body. It is also strong on the energetic level. Surprisingly, it acts even at a distance. Horseradish undresses the shells of bacteria where bacteria "hides", so it gets exposed and it is easier for the immune system to kill it. Russian taverns often treated travelers to horseradish to restore their strength. Horseradish root had to be carried with the traveler if he went to a swamp or a pond area. Horseradish root amulet was a protection from evil spirits that believed to live in the swamps. Pieces of horseradish were placed in a tub of water to stir up the water. Modern science has come to explain this: horseradish simply does not allow water to ferment as it contains a large amount of essential oils and phytoncides that have an antibacterial effect. It was also believed that gods would endow the water with magical properties if it had horseradish inside. Such water was considered sacred; sick people and children washed themselves with it, Since it possessed an extraordinary power of energy. such water was equal to holy water or water in which the silver coin was placed. Well, horseradish leaves. Since ancient times horseradish was put in salting to conserve vegetables (cucumbers). The root though gives its strength to the leaves only once a year: on the Night of Ivanа-Kupala in early July. You need to cut the leaves of horseradish, boil for 20 minutes and drink this infusion. This potion can treat and heal your liver.
In Southern Greece they tell an amazing story... A wealthy man's beautiful wife was dying and even expensive drugs could not help her. In the evening she whispered to her husband that she would die at dawn. Heartbroken husband knelt all night in prayer. Apollo God, the healer appeared to him in his dream. He held a luminous vegetable in his hands. He ordered the vegetable cut in half and put it on the patient's chest. The man woke up: there was the most common radish in his hands. He was surprised but there was no time to think: his wife was breathing heavily. He cut the radish in half and put it on her chest. Sunlight began to emanate from the vegetable. The patient opened her eyes and after a while the disease receded. The man thanked the Sun God Apollo for salvation. He took a whole bag of radishes to the temple of Apollo as a gift for this miracle salvation. Radish is a divine gift. Gods love radishes very much. Apollo said: "The weight of radish is equal to the weight of gold." It was presented in gold as gifts to gods. The Greeks and Romans considered radish to be a root worthy of the gods. In the temple, on the day of honoring gods, vegetables, cast from metals, were placed on the altar: radishes made of gold, beets made of silver and carrots made of tin. Radish was also valued in Egypt. It was part of the main diet of the builders of the pyramids. Radish is depicted on the walls of Karnak Temple of Amun-Ra. In Russia, radish came from Asia. It also has a legend: radish was a princess who was once met by god, Horseradish at one of the feasts. God Horseradish and Radish liked each other. After the meeting, they decided to leave behind them the powerful energy potential: radish migrated from Asia to Europe, and horseradish migrated from Russia to Asia and the Mediterranean. Radish received a special distribution in Russia: it was eaten by both the poor and the rich. They ate it on holidays and followed the strict fast. It was called Penitential Vegetable. It was believed that radish absorbs information. When fasting, it cleanses both the spirit and the body of evil thoughts. On weekdays, radishes were eaten to restore strength. It worked well after work and physical exertion. Sorcerers used radish to convey information. A small radish was used to cast spells. It was believed that the spell would be enhanced inside the radish when it grows. The radish was charged with positive and negative energy. When it grew up, the people threw it either to the enemy's side or ate it themselves together with dear friends. Scientists have confirmed that radish had a positive effect on the mental abilities of a person. It was for this quality that radish was valued by scientific minds. Radish contains Choline. This substance treats stroke, brain disease and vascular disease. Radish truly is a magical vegetable. Sakurajima, the Japanese radish, reaches a length. up to 2 meters and sometimes weighs 35 kg. Loose volcanic soil and monsoon rains create such conditions for the germination of this vegetable in Japan.
All royalties in France are waiting for the news: when Henry II 's wife will give birth to his heir. As time goes by, the married couple remains childless. Rumors spread at the palace that the king is completely indifferent to his wife. All his thoughts, passion and desire are directed towards the favorite. Her name is Diane de Poitiers. He spends every minute with her and makes expensive gifts for her. Henry saw Diana for the first time when he was only 6 years old. Since childhood, he considered himself her most devoted knight. Favorite was older than the king, but 19 years was not noticeable as she looked fresh and young. The sapper called her "the old mushroom", while they could not unravel the secret of her youth and sexuality. They said that Diana's secret weapon was a cocktail of gold prepared by alchemists. But in the notes of Diana's maid it is stated that she consumes a vegetable forbidden at that time in France: every day in the morning, Diana takes the magic fruit, cuts it in half, wipes her face with one half, and eats the other half with her magic drink. It was a common tomato. Europe was then told that it was poisonous, but she knew that this was done to divert eyes: tomato awakens love energy in a person. Italians used tomato as an addition to boiled food or as a sauce. Well, in France, tomatoes were only used for decorative purposes at that time. They decorated balconies and gazebos, where the corners had tomatoes grown. Such corners were established as places of romantic dates. It was believed that the energy of the tomato allowed a person to relax and feel free. When ingested, the properties of a tomato only increase. Tomatoes not only enhance attractiveness in a person, they also launch other vital physical body processes. Red color has the longest wavelength. It is the energy that lingers in the tomato. When we eat it, the energy is retained in our body. This is the energy of good luck and high working capacity. It is responsible for the skin condition of our hands and feet, the health of our spine, hair, teeth and bones. Tomato was called the apple of love. In Russia for a long time tomatoes were considered inedible. Well, as soon as tomatoes began to be used for food, they acquired the title of "passion vegetables". They were not used for a love spell, but used to maintain passion between husband and wife. Tomatoes also made it possible to quickly acquire offspring. It is believed to have magical properties. It was used in love: girls ate tomatoes to become more attractive. Couples used tomatoes for infertility. They took one tomato, cut it in halves: one half was eaten by the husband, the other half was eaten by the wife. This ceremony was performed before the wedding night.
Tomatoes came to Europe from America. They were grown by the ancient Aztecs. There is an old legend associated with tomatoes: a long time ago, among other gods, there lived the god called Tomatl. When the gods decided to leave earth land, and leave the people behind, God Tomatl did not want to leave. He wanted to kill the people who forced him out. The other gods, in order to appease God Tomatl and avoid bloodshed, gave people plants with fruits of red color. People were obliged to plant them in honor of the tomato god. The ancient Aztecs watered their tomato beds with the blood of sacrificial animals to appease the tomato god. God Tomatl was the patron of the home and family. The Aztecs decorated their homes with tomatoes and wore beads made from dried tomatoes. Columbus introduced tomatoes to Europe. For some time, tomatoes were considered poisonous. One of the cooks, wanting to take revenge on the traveler for bringing a new murder weapon, added a vegetable to his soup. Columbus figured out his plan: he imitated an attack of asphyxiation and then suddenly came to life. The cook was humiliated as his evil plan was revealed. Columbus respectfully took tomatoes with him on a trip in large quantities. An invigorating drink was specially prepared for Columbus. Tomato juice restores strength after physical exertion. It contains a large amount of vitamins, especially vitamins of group B. It is very useful to treat and prevent vascular diseases. It has a curative effect on the gastrointestinal tract, especially on the large intestine, while supporting the gut micro-flora. Tomato juice is a natural energy tonic.
It's year 1889 in Italy, and the owner of the pizzeria, Raffaello Esposito receives an important assignment: to cook pizza for the wife of the King of Italy, Margherita of Savoy. In order to please the royal person Raffaello asks his wife to help him. The wise wife proposes to create a new recipe and make pizza in the colors of the national Italian flag: the white color is mozzarella, green is basil, and for the red component Raffaello suggests making red bell pepper, but his wife insists on using tomatoes. She was sure that if this vegetable was spoken onto that they would receive the favor of the Augustine person. She, herself selected three juicy tomatoes, kept them in the sun for three days, talked to them and asked for help. She then cut and sliced the charmed tomatoes on the top of the royal pizza. Margherita of Savoy, having tasted this dish, was delighted. The food of the poor may be worthy of a Queen! This recipe of the most popular pizza in the world was named "Margherita" in honor of the wife of the king of Italy... while pizzeria "Raffaello" began to flourish...

Tv Week Logie Awards, Crown , TV Personality and Couture -The Venus Gown

Tv Week Logie Awards, Crown , TV Personality and Couture -
The Venus Gown

On June 19 2022, Sydney’s premier Couture designer, Diane Lewis Couture showcased the delicate ethereal Venus Gown on the Red Carpet during the TV Week Logie Awards held in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The Couture gown was worn by TV celebrity Carol Ferrone from ABC Channel’s hit TV show, Back In Time For Dinner, which just wrapped up their filming of the 3rd season’s show.
The Venus Gown worn by Carol Ferrone was part of Diane Lewis Couture Renaissance Collection . Created with 60 meters of tulle and a silk corseted underlay, it's a goddess confection that is feminine with ethereal vibes.

Carol Ferrone, TV & Media Personality, Business Coach and Mentor, is the breakout star of the social history series Back In Time For Dinner, which sent her family of five to live, eat, work and dress across 170 years of Australian history. Now in its third season, the show has been an unequivocal hit for the ABC Channel with the first season nominated for a Logie Award for best lifestyle program in 2019.

A self-confessed foodie, art and history lover Carol sees herself as a storyteller.

Carol has been a national brand Ambassador for Foodbank Australia, Australia's largest food charity since 2018 and continues to be a mentor and guide to women in business as well as an MC and guest presenter at events.

“Our Renaissance Collection – which I renamed during Covid – is a rebirth of my signature handwriting: voluminous skirts, corset bodices, modern asymmetric necklines – all with a signature look that started back when we opened in 1990” says Designer Diane Lewis. As one of Australia’s most esteemed couture designers, Diane Lewis launched her acclaimed label back in 1990 and quickly became one of Australia’s most trusted and sought-after designers (you’ll spot her red carpet creations everywhere from The Oscars to The Logies, Australia’s Emmys). Specialising in one-off, made-to-measure couture-finished gowns - flaunting the brand’s signature high-voltage modern aesthetic - Diane Lewis’ latest collection arrivals only go to bolster our love affair with her iconic designs.

The designer’s latest collection, Renaissance, is a reflection of Diane’s inner discoveries as a creative over the past 12 months. On witnessing the dramatic impact of the recent pandemic in the fashion industry, Diane recognised the changing scale of weddings, both locally and internationally. Reconnecting with her original mission statement, first conceived 30 years ago (to deliver new and unwavering high-fashion looks to the industry) Renaissance was born, and with it a selection of truly breathtaking gowns swept up in a sea of tactile textures and stunning silhouettes.

Carol Ferrone, TV star, Business Coach, Mentor and philanthropist celebrated for her bubbly and exuberant warm personality who also leads the cast of ABC Channel, Back In Time For Dinner. Celebrated for her inspirational character and boundless expertise, Diane Lewis Couture creates her magnificent gowns from her Sydney atelier and showcases internationally.
