Shudder invite you to watch a new horror called Dead & Beautiful
release date 4 November
In Dead & Beautiful, five rich, spoiled Asian twenty-somethings (Gijs Blom, Aviis Zhong, Yen Tsao, Philip Juan, Anechka Marchenko) are suffering from upper class ennui, unsure how to spend their days when so little is expected from them. In search of excitement, the five friends form the “Circle,” a group where they take turns designing a unique, extravagant experience for the others. But things go wrong when the privileged urbanites awaken after a night out, to find they have developed vampire fangs and an unquenchable thirst for flesh, blood, and adventure at any price. British Film Festival Presented by Palace, Miranda Brown Publicity and Palace Films invite you to watch a new comedy drama called THE OBSCURE LIFE OF THE GRAND DUKE OF CORSICA https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/.../the-obscure-life...
release date in Melbourne: from 11 November
for other states follow: https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/.../the-obscure-life...
Timothy Spall (also in The Last Bus and It Snows in Benidorm) and Peter Stormare star as a cantankerous architect and an eccentric billionaire in this intriguing homage to Peter Greenaway from Australian writer-director Daniel Graham. Architect Alfred Rott’s (Spall) reputation as a womanising, foul-mouthed genius follows him like a shadow. After falling out with authorities over a new Arts Centre in Brussels, Rott is handed a once-in-a-lifetime invitation to visit the wealthy and eccentric recluse on the island of Malta who calls himself 'The Grand Duke Of Corsica'. The Grand Duke (Stormare) commissions Alfred to build him a personalized mausoleum in preparation for his own death.
When a malaria outbreak on the island causes the entire population to flee, fires break out and pandemonium ensues. But Alfred must remain to finish the project that may be the greatest, yet most invisible, creation of his remarkable career. Interwoven with a parallel storyline of a 13th century young man who is set on his path to becoming St. Francis of Assisi, with The Obscure Life of the Grand Duke of Corsica, Graham delivers a fascinating mediation on life, love and architecture.

British Film Festival Presented by Palace, Miranda Brown Publicity and Palace Films invite you to watch a new history drama called THE WAR BELOW https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/films/the-war-below
release date in Melbourne: from 9 November
for other states follow: https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/films/the-war-below
A spirited film about the tunneling and sabotage efforts at the battle of Messines during the First World War, The War Below is a fascinating drama based on true events. In the midst of the Great War, British army colonel "Hellfire Jack" Norton-Griffiths (Tom Goodman-Hill, Humans, Rebecca) hatches a daring plan to break the deadly stalemate at the Battle of Messines in 1917. He proposes tunneling underneath enemy lines from the Allied to the German trenches in the hopes of successfully setting off bombs from below the German line and saving the Allied war effort.
Norton-Griffiths recruits a crack squad of Yorkshire miners to dig a tunnel underneath no man's land, including pit-village miner William Hawkins (Sam Hazeldine, Peaky Blinders, The Innocents), but Field Marshal Haig (Douglas Reith, Downton Abbey) remains unconvinced. Making his feature directorial debut, J.P. Watts creates an atmosphere of claustrophobia and tension, chaos and carnage in this enthralling account of the miners’ subterranean experience.

British Film Festival Presented by Palace, Miranda Brown Publicity and Palace Films invite you to watch a new drama called BOILING POINT https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/films/boiling-point
release date in Melbourne: from 8 November
for other states follow: https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/films/boiling-point
An emotionally scarred London chef struggles to keep it together in this heated single-take thriller, set in and around a restaurant during a single evening. Starring the electrifying Stephen Graham (The Irishman, Boardwalk Empire) as emotionally damaged and drug addicted chef Andy, we follow the action across one crazily busy night in his top London restaurant.
When Andy shows up ominously late for work due to personal reasons, it is only the beginning of a nightmarish evening alongside sous-chef Carly (Vinette Robinson, Sherlock) and commis chef Freeman (Ray Panthaki, BFF18 Colette, Marcella). Over the course of the night, Andy must deal with acrimonious staff, difficult customers, an old adversary and the pressures of keeping a frenetic kitchen and busy restaurant floor going. Expanding upon the characters seen in his 2019 award-winning short, actor-turned-director Philip Barantini follows the dizzying continuous action in the kitchens and the dining room as the pressure begins to take its toll on everyone.
A smart character study and vivid window into a highly pressurised working world, the excellent ensemble cast and Graham’s terrific central performance create a breathlessly kinetic and ultimately moving film.

ATTENTION TO ALL CREATIVE MINDS!

30/10/2021

ATTENTION TO ALL CREATIVE MINDS:
photographers, designers, writers, models, artists, stylists, MUAHs, artistic directors and others alike:
there is the challenge described:
keyframe
n. a moment that seemed innocuous at the time but ended up marking a diversion into a strange new era of your life—set in motion not by a series of jolting epiphanies but by tiny imperceptible differences between one ordinary day and the next, until entire years of your memory can be compressed into a handful of indelible images—which prevents you from rewinding the past, but allows you to move forward without endless buffering.
The word comes from...
The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, coined in 2012 by John Koenig. It was a project, to create a compendium of invented words for every emotion we might all experience but don’t yet have a word for. They are beautifully obscure words describing complex emotions you may know. As humans, we experience a vast and intricate emotional array of feelings.
ANNOUNCING COMPETITION
on the best concept / style photograph or set of photographs that will fit into the category "KEYFRAME" with the focus on 'canvas: naturaleza'
We publish the best photos in the coming winter issue of MARQUIS FASHION MAGAZINE
The due date for submission is 15 November 2021 1200pm
The works of art should be sent in the form of a direct dropbox link or direct wetransfer link with the full list of credits and your story of inspiration to accompany it
to natasha.marchev@gmail.com or in PM.
Your photos should be a highly acclaimed art in fashion - each image should be like a part of a collective story for the magazine pages therefore making it more readable for everyone who opens it.
good luck!

British Film Festival Presented by Palace, Miranda Brown Publicity and Palace Films invite you to watch a new documentary called My Father and Me https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/films/my-father-and-me
release date in Melbourne: from 12 November
for other states follow: https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/films/my-father-and-me
Amongst the foremost names in documentary filmmaking for decades, Nick Broomfield (Tracking Down Maggie, Biggie and Tupac) has never made a film more distinctly personal than this complex and tender snapshot of his father’s life. A moving film about his relationship with his humanist-pacifist father, Maurice Broomfield, a factory worker turned photographer of vivid, often lustrous images of industrial post-WWII England, My Father and Me paints an affectionate and at times gently teasing portrait.
While his father's photos inspired Nick’s own filmmaking career, they also ignite a discussion about the outlook of pacifist Maurice who abhorred conflict and Nick, whose less romantic, more left-wing political identity stemmed from his mother’s side. A celebration of Maurice’s talent as a leading industry photographer in post-war Britain, My Father and Me is both memoir and tribute to Maurice Bloomfield. In its intimate story of one family, it takes an expansive, philosophical look at the 20th century itself, with heartwarming results.

British Film Festival Presented by Palace, Miranda Brown Publicity and Palace Films invite you to watch a new documentary called SPARKLING: THE STORY OF CHAMPAGNE https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/.../sparkling-the...
release date in Melbourne: from 6, November
for other states follow: https://britishfilmfestival.com.au/.../sparkling-the...
A love letter to the joys and pleasures of Champagne, this sparkling documentary shares inside perspectives from the A-list Champagne houses and features a host of A-list talent. Narrated by and starring Stephen Fry, we meet some of the most powerful movers and shakers from the most legendary brand names in the business as the viewer is taken behind the scenes of the famous beverage.
Directed by Irish film producer and distribution executive Frank Mannion, Sparkling: The Story of Champagne explores the British connections to bubbly, from Churchill’s love of Pol Roger to the Bond franchise and Queen Elizabeth II’s vineyard. With a score worthy of a Downton Abbey episode, sweeping drone shots of lush vineyards, and a wine-tour atmosphere, this enlightening film uncovers the history of Champagne, including legend of the French monk, Dom Perignon, who famously declared "I can taste the stars" when he discovered champagne and examines the impact of climate change on the vineyards.

NEW SINGLE IS RELEASED!
Australian Country Star, Jade Holland, shared her new story with a freshly released single, ‘Fight For It” (8 October), which is poised to become an anthem for a world struggling to recover from covid fatigue. "Fight For It is for every single person who has lost someone to suicide. It’s a song that we all can relate to. We’ve all been there. This is our time to stand together and sing for those who are no longer here." Holland shared. "This is our anthem now." (co-written by Jade with Sinead Burgess and Bryce Sainty,
produced by David Messy Mescon at Messy Room Studios in Nashville with #AriaAward winning artist, Tyrone Noonan, appearing on the backing vocals with the chorus vocals recorded in the #Pushworth office with the whole team jumping in to help out,
released through The Manick Label /In Grooves/ Universal Music Group)
our journalist, Jeanette Russell reviews the song today for all our readers:
Thank you for the opportunity to review" Fight for it " by Jade Holland. Very apt for mental health week. It's a song of struggle with one's self. It declares there is hope. Messages of fighting for it, and that it's OK to ask for help are presented. Also highlighted are themes, see that there is hope . You'll get through it, and that we are strong, and not on our own. She showcases resilience, as well as vulnerability and a great strength of character.
Lovely music backing and Jade's vocals are excellent. I feel Jade has a real talent and gift , and seems that she really wants to support people. Highly recommended. Please listen to Fight For It. The song is getting out the word about mental health and suicidal issues which is very poignant at this time.
Jade is a country singer who is an ambassador for the mental health Foundation. She will debut her single on 8 October "Fight for it" and will film a video, in Brisbane at the "Annual walk for awareness" there..
It's an amazing experience to listen to, capturing my attention, and the story behind it is inspiring.
Jade has a beautiful voice, and has a great ability, I believe. She has co- written the song with Sinead Burgess and Bryce Sainty. An expose about mental health challenges such as losing someone, Jade has ascertained that "Fight For It is for every single person who has lost someone to suicide. It’s a song that we all can relate to. We’ve all been there. This is our time to stand together and sing for those who are no longer here."
Jade to me responds sensitively and with dedication to these issues.
Fans have stated that they got goose bumps listening to it and that they love the new single.
The song is so timely as an anthem for everyone at the moment facing the reality of Covid.
Jade has highlighted her own story, in the recent past, sharing "Drive Thru" a single that was internationally accredited and "That's the Wine " in 2019. Another song was" Lives on the Lawn," for the Townsville flood appeal." Do it Right" was a hit last year..

“Fight For It” by Jade Holland

6/10/2021

NEW RELEASE 8 OCTOBER 2021!
Australian Country Star, Jade Holland, has been consistently sharing her story with audiences across the globe over the past three years with singles like, the Multimillion streaming “Drive Thru”,
International Award winning “That’s The Wine”, the 2019 Charting Townsville Flood appeal charity song “Lives on the Lawn” and 2020’s breakout hit, “Do It Right”. Now her follow up single, ‘Fight For It”, due for International release on 8 October, is poised to become an anthem for a world struggling to recover from covid fatigue.
As Ambassador for Mental Awareness Foundation, Jade will make history on Sunday 10 October as she debuts ‘Fight For It” at the annual Walk For Awareness event in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in front of tens of thousands of Queenslanders. The official video will be filmed that day with a cast of thousands. "Fight For It is for every single person who has lost someone to suicide. It’s a song that we all can relate to. We’ve all been there. This is our time to stand together and sing for those who are no longer here." Holland shared. "This is our anthem now."
Being one of the first music artists to go on the road post lockdown, Jade took her Resilience Tour throughout regional Queensland in late 2020 in partnership with the Mental Awareness Foundation, and witnessed, firsthand, the power that music had to reconnect and heal a local community. It was these places and faces that inspired her to sit down late one night after a show in Mount Isa, Queensland, where she wrote the first three words, Fight For It. “Fight For It” was recorded and produced across time zones in a unique fashion thanks to border restrictions and lockdowns. Co-written by Jade with Sinead Burgess and Bryce Sainty, it was
produced by David Messy Mescon at Messy Room Studios in Nashville with #AriaAward winning artist, Tyrone Noonan, appearing on the backing vocals with the chorus vocals recorded in the #Pushworth office with the whole team jumping in to help out.
“Fight For It” will be released through The Manick Label/In Grooves/ Universal Music Group on Friday 8 October 2021.
