The ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase was established by Singapore fashion designer, Hayden NG, on 8 August 2015 as a collective whose key mission is to raise awareness of and appreciation for #ASEAN’s unique and diverse fashion and design. Through this collective, they also seek to promote greater cross-cultural and creative collaboration.
ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase x Thehomeground Asia x W Singapore - Sentosa Cove present ASEAN International Digital Fashion Week – RESORT. This showcase is a collaboration between ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase(AFDS) and digital platform Thehomeground Asia (THG) and W Singapore – Sentosa Cove in a bid to help raise awareness and appreciation for the unique style and diversity in the ASEAN region, and to promote greater cross-cultural and creative collaboration between ASEAN and International fashion partners from across the globe.

Recipe
White Chocolate #Blondie with #Strawberries
Prep: 10 mins
Bake time: 1 hour
Bake pan: Wiltshire Rose Gold Slice and Brownie Pan
Ingredients
• 150g butter, chopped
• 100g white chocolate, chopped
• 1 cups (330g) caster sugar
• cup (125ml) milk
• 1 cups (225g) plain flour, sifted
• cup self raising flour, sifted
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• tsp vanilla essence
White Chocolate Ganache
• cup (125ml) pouring cream
• 300g white chocolate, chopped
To Decorate
• Strawberries, sliced
• Edible dried rose petals
Method
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease a Wiltshire Slice; Brownie Pan 27.5cm and line the base and two long sides with baking paper.
STEP 2
Place the butter, chocolate, sugar and milk in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until all the ingredients are melted and well combined. Set aside for 15 minutes to cool slightly.
STEP 3
Stir in the flours, eggs and vanilla until well combined and pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool in pan.
STEP 4
Meanwhile, to make the white chocolate ganache, place the cream in a small saucepan over medium low heat. Bring to just below the boil and pour over the chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Allow to sit for 5 minutes before stirring until smooth. Place in the fridge for 30
minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until spreadable.
STEP 5
Place blondie on a serving platter, spread over the ganache and decorate with strawberries and rose petals.

Marissa Rodriguez Schimizzi is an Australian artist who uses papercutting to express herself and her ideas around culture, identity and everyday struggles. She studied printmedia and drawing at the ANU School of Art. Rodriguez Schimizzi has a blended background as the child of a Spanish immigrant and with maternal Italian ancestry, she has recently returned from living in Spain for ten years and also living in Denmark for a short period of time.

The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, coined in 2012 by John Koenig. It was a project, to create a compendium of invented words for every emotion we might all experience but don’t yet have a word for. They are beautifully obscure words describing complex emotions you may know. As humans, we experience a vast and intricate emotional array of feelings.

We publish the best photos in the coming winter issue of MARQUIS FASHION MAGAZINE
