this is one of my fav places now for coffee and meetings...

I lost my car key in the park grass walking with the puppies some weeks ago and had to walk all the way home as no one could pick me up at that quite late time and Misha was at Mt Hotham - it was one of these days :) 8 hours on legs was unusual for me this year but my dogs were almost dead and slept all the next day through :) :) but I had to wait for RACV mechanic to make the new keys for me a couple of days after and did not even have any spare cash for coffee - Ned's Bake offered me everything for free... such is life and what an adventure and experience :)
feeling positive at Ned's Bake.
Liquorice tea and something yummy baked... with a friend, ashi I ran into by good accident...

DATES: 14 September - 13 Octobr 2019
LOCATION: 357 Monbulk Rd, Silvan VIC 3795
WEBSITE: https://www.tulipfestival.com.au/
Those looking to attend the Tesselaar Tulip Festival will be happy to know that it is only one hour’s drive from the Melbourne CBD. This popular yearly event is renowned for its amazing display of tulip flowers and interactive exhibits. You will come across a variety of tulip species from all over the world so come and explore over half a million tulips at the wonderful Tesselaar Tulip Festival.
This unique festival is held at the Tesselaar Nursery in Silvan which is one of the many suburbs nestled within the Dandenong Ranges. Apart from the wonderful flower display, this festival also showcases live entertainment, a multicultural food exhibition and a sculpture display. The festival is home to over 40 nurseries and plant growers where you can shop for a huge range of plants, both large and small. Come and gather information from their resident experts with many gardening talks and demonstrations whilst gathering inspiration for your own garden.
The festival also features a number of cultural events, music shows, authentic food, folk dance shows and a number of entertainment programs and activities. Sample an assorted variety of regional food and wine while enjoying an array of music and dance shows. Whilst visiting the festival, make sure to check out the historic Tesselaar Gardens where you will discover a beautiful garden filled with roses, lilies and perennials, including newly released varieties to explore and enjoy.
There is a range of food and refreshments on offer or you are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens. Dogs on leads are welcome. Local Scouts offer a plant crèche that will store purchases and deliver them to your car for just a gold coin donation. The delightful Dandenong Ranges Yarra Valley region provides a stunning backdrop for this unmissable event. This area is home to a number of magnificent gardens to visit over the weekend.
Tickets can be purchased online, or at the gate. If you purchase your tickets online, then you must print them and they can be used for one admission on any day. Tickets on mobile phones will not be accepted. You can drive to the festival which is around 60kms from Melbourne. Dogman

26/9/2019

Palace Films invite you to watch a new drama called Dogman
in cinemas August 29
The multi award-winning new crime thriller from internationally-heralded writer/director Matteo Garrone (Gomorrah, Tale of Tales), DOGMAN is the compelling story of a gentle family man driven beyond his limits, based on remarkable true events. In a dilapidated Neapolitan suburb, the pint-sized, mild-mannered Marcello (Marcello Fonte) runs the dog-grooming business of the film’s title, caring for the neighbourhood pooches, and raising his young daughter, Alida, for whom he’d do anything to spoil. But he’s domineered by one of his customers, Simone (Edoardo Pesce), a petty criminal and former boxer who throws his substantial bulk around this tight-knit community at every opportunity. Marcello soon becomes swept up in a criminal plan he wants nothing to do with… Meticulously directed and photographed, and entirely sympathetic to its four-legged cast-members (none of who are harmed), Garrone’s bravura urban noir is also impeccably acted, with Marcello Fonte’s extraordinary performance highly deserving of the Best Actor prizes at both Cannes and the European Film Awards. Inspired by a true story that drew national headlines, and gripping from start to finish, it’s another electrifying big-screen experience from one of Italy’s finest contemporary filmmakers. (Italian Language with English subtitles.)
