UGG Australia

added 40 new photos — at Ugg Australia Concept store.
Published by Natasha Marchev · 23 hrs · I want you all please to listen to my story... the story is about the Ugly Boots...
The history tells that in 70-s hippies and bohemian style people leaved the suburbs for the Australian bush. They made the boots as part of their wardrobe. The boots were made out of animal skins that were quiet primitive. They looked so ordinary that the people started calling them Ugly Boots, or Uggs
We were lucky enough to meet with the owners and manufactures (since 1982) of this famous brand UGG Australia . Luda, who runs the business has very kind eyes and shared not only the history of her "baby" , she also told us about the quality, the skin itself and the variety of animals used in their products, We found out what is made at the factory for men, women and children, what are the current trends and marketing and selling concepts, how the skin and fur is protected from the weather conditions, what is in fashion (Chanel and Dior like vests and bags) ,the list of celebrities who wore the products during this years, what is comfortable and why, what is the difference with the other brands from overseas, how the health of the animal and the environment are important for the high quality of the final produce and much more. We were shown the home accessories and bedding (including the quilts made out of 40 fox skins that cost around $3000) . We investigated the far corners of the factory and were shown the process from the skins receiving to the ready to wear slippers and shoes. We were introduced to the "veterans" of the industry who have been working at the factory for the last 30 years and to the apprentices who just started to learn the trade.
Luda's knowledge in the business is vast and bottomless. She loves what she does with all her heart. We got small gifts and arranged our next projects with the owners who trust our skills and vision. Please stay tuned and see what we will have to show you..
My favorite products so far: fox tails for the bags and wallets for luck and money, boots with the fox fur upper parts, winter hat design called Natalie (of course!) , Chanel-like vest, Swarovski half boots, various fashion bags and jewelry... do I have to tell you more? We asked: can we buy everything and got the positive answer. I get the cash ready for the nest trip to the location.
There was only one thing missing at the factory's super shop in Brunswick - YOU! But hopefully you will make it there soon to see what to buy for Christmas for your family and friends. This works only in case my photos and my story convinced you...

funny how we bumped into our sponsor #Burek Milan Mandic, funny how Kwacha was soooo sleepy with no apparent reason :) funny how we missed the make up artist (lost in uber-space) funny how we still managed to put it all together - it was my first selfie ever too! funny how we behaved at the coffee shop at Hyatt talking loudly (I bet the tourists thought we were locals - for sure - all total Australian idiots) funny how Rouben was telling everyone same stories about himself over and over again and even the ones he never gets tired of - there were the "are you serious" in brackets heard by Hyatt walls 100-s of times and the jewish "????" after each sentence but he was amazing at the end of the evening with his generous treat for the whole crew: two yummy plates to share and white teas and chai lattes.. my small Armenian brother-friend is not perfect and not quiet but he is very kind and he is "very often"... :)

Zelman Symphony present
#HoangsPianoConcerto Concert
DATE: Saturday 2 December 2017, 7.30pm
LOCATION: Melbourne Recital Centre, #ElisabethMurdochHall
WEB: http://zelmansymphony.org.au/Concerts/2December2017
This concert features #HoangPham, the 2013 ABC Young Performer of the Year, Hoang Pham, playing two famous piano works in the one concert at the request of his faithful supporters. Following his electric performances of the Emperor Concerto and Tchaikovsky's first Piano Concerto with us, Hoang invited Zelman Symphony to accompany him at Melbourne Recital Centre - we agreed with alacrity! Thanks Hoang! The concert opens with Brahms' Academic Festival Overture written in 1880 to thank the University of Breslau for giving him an honorary doctorate degree. It is a fun-filled series of student drinking songs including the triumphant finale 'Gaudeamus igitur'.
Hoang will then climb the heights of Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini - the mere mention of Paganini ensures fireworks and a brilliant performance. Then it is back to Brahms for his well-loved Piano Concerto No 1, a brilliant symphonic-like piano concerto which will have you on the edge of your seats.
Mark Shiell - conductor
@HoangPham - piano
Program

Rachmaninov - Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini
Brahms - Piano Concerto No.1

The Kransky Sisters will be in Melbourne soon! please check out the Australia touring dates http://www.thekranskysisters.com/touring
In a quiet town in the middle of south east Queensland lives a huddle of strange sisters, whom, in between tending ants, knitting egg warmers, and hanging out cane toad skins to dry, travel around the country performing their popular musical shows to a growing following. This oddball musical trio marry curious real life stories with a host of uniquely homemade arrangements of popular songs gleaned from their old wireless in a highly entertaining event. With kitchen pot, toilet brush, keyboard, musical saw, tuba, guitar and duelling tambourines these three weird yet endearing spinsters present offbeat covers of songs ranging from Nana Mouskouri and Eurythmics to Talking Heads and The Bee Gees.
The combination of the Sisters’ sheltered view of the world seen through their superbly droll comic dialogue, and alluring musical sound makes this night out with your strange old aunts an unforgettable experience. The Kransky Sisters have been regular guests on television including SBS’s In Siberia Tonight and ABC’s The Side Show and Spicks and Specks and BBC’s Comedy Shuffle.
They are winners of several Awards including:
The Age Critics' Award 2004

Set in an Irish village called Inishfree, Enda Walsh's riveting and Drama Desk Award winning masterpiece of one man's journey towards judgment day taunts and haunts and dares you to look away. Misterman is directed by award winning director Kris Weber and stars award winning actor Travis Handcock.
Thomas Magill is having a bad day - disembodied voices inhabit his thoughts, his mother has a cold, the dogs of hell are on his tail and Doris Day won't shut up. But Thomas needs to watch because the people of Inishfree are misbehaving. Misterman is a one man tour de force that examines the mind of a tortured soul hell-bent on retribution. Desperate and disturbed, Thomas is a cataclysmic force on speaking terms with the Lord. Misterman is an astonishing piece of story telling by an incredibly talented playwright," says director Kris Weber. "Enda Walsh has written a freight train of a tale with a protagonist who is wading neck deep in the murky waters of madness while the voices inside, and outside, his head are re-enacting a day in the life of the villagers in the Irish town of Inishfree. This is Thomas Magill's town and these are his friends and neighbours but Thomas can see them for who they really are, and he understands that things can never be the same again. This is a powerful script that both challenges and mesmerizes and one that, as a director, I am very excited to be navigating with the talented Travis Handcock.

"Tetsuya Umeda’s installations are as much about the sounds, as they are about the arrangement of everyday items he uses. Umeda’s main work is the object’s performance, which he helps orchestrate, but is never in control of” The Japan Times
Japan’s master artist of sonic visual sensations, Tetsuya Umeda is set to thrill with his site specific occupation. Tetsuya Umeda’s practice straddles performing art, improvisational music and exhibition. He creates lively environs by melding architectural structures, objects, sound and light. His richly dynamic and embodied installations are often situated outside of the gallery context. Umeda's temporal works utilise found domestic items, transforming them from their daily familiarity into a spectacle of the unexpected. The transparent process taking place before the audience’s eyes, exposing viewers as both witnesses and collaborators as they engage with his interactive performance pieces.
The Japanese artist has held a number of significant solo exhibitions including Ota Fine Arts Singapore, Singapore (2013), “Age0”, Breaker Project, Osaka (2014) and “Science of Superstition”, Sonic Protest Festival, Montreal (2015). He has also participated in performing arts and music festivals in Asia and Europe including the 1st Aichi Triennale 2010: Arts and Cities, Nagoya (2010); Double Vision: Contemporary Art From Japa,n Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Moscow / Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa (2012); Simple Interactions. Sound Art from Japan, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Roskilde, Roskilde (2011). He recently featured at “RhythmScape”, Gyoenggi Museum of Modern Art, Gyoenggi (2015) and Sounds of Us, Trafó Gallery, Budapest (2015-2016).
