#Yallateef! book challenge
I cooked as promised 6 dishes from @MarwaMakool 's book . Marwa is the owner of famous and super successful Oasis AU Bakery North Road. Marwa kindly gifted me her signed cook book and I promised to run this challenge and buy the products from her shop to try their quality
~ very grateful to Marwa for her trust
~ I have to admit that Marwa knows her spices and ingredients very very well. I respect her highly for that. Most of the recipes I have chosen were very easy to follow and the tasty dishes are very easy to follow.
~ the recipes contain the spices and ingredients I have never tried in my life. They are delicious. Some of the spices are available at Oasis shop to purchase, they are not the cheapest but they are very fresh and very handy plus you will use them for a long time in your dishes.
~ do not expect a certain taste from the dish you cook. You will get something absolutely fabulous no matter what you predict. The taste is delish and unpredictable. If you believe "oh, I put way too much of those very hot spices", you might be wrong as the spices in combination with certain products and in mixture will work perfectly well and will pleasantly surprise you.
~ the vegetarian dishes are amazing! My best reward: my son asking me in two days after he tried the food at my place and after his "takeaways": mum, these dishes you cooked were sensational! can you please cook more for me to try and can I please borrow this book from you"
~ all the dishes I have chosen were delicious, but best out of all: pumpkin pancakes EJJEH which I gave 10 out of 10. second place: walnut and pomegranate salad because of its unusual seasoning and nuts of course, I also loved buckwheat and rice dishes plus the desert and the superb Lebanese coffee recommended to me by Eddie, the owner and the husband of Marwa was absolutely fabulous!
~ I had lots of comments and compliments about the decoration of my dishes - thank you everyone who did it - I got inspired by your comments and warm messages!
~ happy cooking guys and girls creating at art and love inside your plates!

ok, I am finishing with my challenge on 6 recipes: i have to go through the last three meals from the
Lonely Planet / #LonelyPlanetFood 's new book called #TheWorldsBestSuperfoods / #HealthBoostingRecipesFromAroundTheWorld: middle eastern potato salad, pickled herring and matcha green tea
1. sweet potatoes unpeeled, pink himalayan salt, sunflower oil (olive extra virgin used), parsley ( fresh coriander used), pomegranate seeds for decor; dressing: goat yogurt (cow used), cumin (cumin used), cinnamon (nutmeg used) - as you see I made a variety that was also absolutely amazing in taste! but I guess goat yogurt should be even better...
2. herring, swedish vinegar (one white used - i had no idea what swedish vinegar is - i guess no swedish, no vinegar), water, white vinegar (i already used), white sugar (very brown used), peppercorns (yes), juniper berries, cloves, bay leaf (from the next door tree that grows way too much using our own sun - i claim it's ours partially then), red onion (he was spanish), horseradish (he was french), finely cut carrots, dill to garnish (coriander used)
3. matcha green tea that (made myself into powder) and boiled water (I guess boiled water is always used for tea - there is no tea without water as there is no coffee without water ha! but there is tea without coffee)
herring took most of the time as it asked me to marinade her. i also tried to include as many of our own garden greens as possible (even lemons for garnish) and use organic and healthy ingredients as well as trying to slightly change the recipe without changing the overall flavour theme. i hope our readers will love the book that contains more than you cook in one year recipes, a pre-word by famous Natasha Corrett Honestly Healthy, symbols for energy, immune system, digestion, longevity and heart <3 with some fabulous photos, comments, origins of the dishes, tasting notes and step by step methods of preparation.

Knafeh Nabulseyeh a taste of history since 1575
is offering kebab, falafel. pastries, knafeh, sweets and traditional middle eastern coffee.
ADDRESS: 74 Poath Rd Hhughesdake Vic 3166
PHONE: 9569 40 85
What is the Knafeh Nabulseyeh?
Nablus is one of the Palestinian cities that sustained elite classes, fostering the development of culture of 'high cuisine" such as that of Damascus or Baghadad. The city is home to a number of food products well known throughout the Levant, the Middle East.
Kanafeh is the most famed Nabulsi sweet. Originating in Nablus during the 15th century bu 1575 its recipe was exported throughout the Ottoman Empire which controlled Palestine at the time. Kanafeh is made of several fine shreds of pastry noodles with honey-sweetened cheese in the centre and sprinkled with crushed pistachios on top. Though it is now made throughout the Middle East to the present day knafeh Nabulsi enjoys continued fame partly die to its use of a white-brine cheese called jibneh Nabulsi
After years of hard work and dedication and being endlessly perfected we are proud to finally present Knafeh Nablseyeh for the first time ever in Australia the exact same way it has been produced since centuries ago.
Come and taste the history...

we have not been here for ages - apparently Laurent bakery Camberwell has been refurbished 6 months ago. and it looks so much cozier - i think it was also re-caked and re-coffeed as everything tastes so much better here now.
with your new 2017-18 Entertainment Book you get half price cakes and half price coffees but even this amazing fact should not stop you from going there - i will tell you more and let it be our secret: the place has beauty magazines that are terrific when it comes to photos and think they also knew about it... an I think i can not eat my concorde cake - the sweetest chocolate mousse is too much through my lips - lucky for Alex!

I have very exciting news to share with all our readers.
We have lots of talented people in our Club (just historically it happened that they all got together under one roof); there are also lots of super gifted media VIPs. A couple of days ago the Melbourne International Coffee Expo organisers and the manager of the PR company that ran the expo and was looking after marketing and publicity this year, emailed me to say that our video showcasing #MICE2017 created by brilliant hands and mind of Fabrizio Evans at Group 42 was absolutely fabulous and that they loved it very much. The video was rated on the top of the coffee expo video list and it will be used for the expo promotion next year! I would like to congratulate Fab and his crew who worked on filming and editing so hard (nevertheless he said they had lots of fun) on this achievement!
I am sure in the future we will see more successful stories to tell our followers because as I said we have lots of talents in our crew!
Taking this opportunity to say big 'thank you' to Prime Creative Media, BeanScene Magazine and personally to #LaurenWinterbottom and #SarahBaker for their kind words addressing us, as well as for the opportunity to cover the exhibition and for organising it so incredibly well.
