that is my favorite personal choice that I take from all the seasons... I have no idea why: it reminds me of my childhood and my mum making me the apple and cinnamon pie - charlottka which was always the little house celebration of the family brought together by the freshness of fruit and home baking magic ritual.
The overall impression from all Taprobane teas: I really valued the high quality of the brand and historically a tendency to love fruit infused teas with beautiful pictures on the packages however the traditional green and black teas are as well amazingly delicious. I also loved the idea of having a wild animal as a totem for the logo of this company: cheetah which associates in our minds with vitality, speed, heath and the most energetic animal in the animal kingdom. The more tea you drink the faster you go - up to 121 km/h

this tea is a mysterious Eastern and Mediterranean blend that will take you travelling in your dreams to the most exotic countries and regions on Earth. The flavour is not very strong as I would expected. It is rather mild and pleasant. It was a great idea to make it not with black but with green tea leaves. I believe the black tea would overpower the pomegranate delicate fusion.

there is no person on the planet Earth who would not love sugary mangoes. this tea is amazing: its striking taste sensation would not leave you unsatisfied and will guarantee a paradise in your mouth. it is smooth, sweet but not over-treacly. It matches amazingly well with the aromatic black tea combination.

citrus always goes perfectly well with any tea. This tea is spicy in its own way and goes well with green fusion. the taste contains mandarin, orange and lemon with a balanced and original feel on your tongue. you will enjoy it as I did

At the Taprobane Tea Company our most important aspiration is to bring premium quality tea to the tea cups of all Australians. Our motto is “A Smile With Every Sip!” To achieve this aspiration we select only premium quality, high grown Ceylon teas. The tea leaves in our products are collected by hand from tea gardens located at the highest elevations in Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon). Typically, skilled workers pick only the freshest growth – the top two young leaves and a bud. This careful hand-picking of the leaves is one of the reasons that Ceylon tea is of such high quality. Within a few hours of plucking the fresh tea leaves are processed at tea factories on site. Within a very short time, twenty-four hours at most, the tea is ready for drinking.
Our premium quality black tea and green tea are certified 100% pure Ceylon Tea by the Ceylon Tea Board and so our products carry the Lion Symbol of quality. We also have a range of delectable flavoured black and green teas for you to enjoy. Tea is the most widely drunk beverage in the world. Over one and a half billion cups of tea are consumed every day. The “tea drinker… with tea amuses the evening, with tea solaces the midnight, and with tea welcomes the morning.” (~Samuel Johnson)
Tea, whether it is black tea or green tea, is a health-full beverage that is both calorie-free and fat-free and is low in sodium. It also contains calcium, folic acid and the vitamins B1, B2 and B3. Tea is naturally rich in anti-oxidants so you can be sure that when you drink our tea you are consuming a health-full beverage rich with the most wonderful aromas and flavours. All of our black tea and green tea products can be enjoyed steaming hot or chilled with ice. We do hope you enjoy them.
At Taprobane Tea Company we insist on the highest quality. With this in mind we carefully selected one of the very best blending and processing facilities in Sri Lanka to prepare our products. In a joint venture project with one of the largest importers of tea to Japan, our supplier built a state-of-the-art tea cleaning, blending and processing plant. They have standards of the highest quality and have certification from the following1: National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia; Internal Organization for Standardization for Quality Management and Food Safety Management; Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points; Food Safety System; and Good Manufacturing Practices.
The management of the blending and processing facility has also incorporated stringent measures to ensure employee safety. In addition, it is an equal opportunity employer and its remuneration packages are well above industry standards.
The impressive tea processing equipment at the plant consists of a dust containment unit, which extracts excess dust particles to give a clean, uniform tea blend; magnet units and metal detection units to remove any metallic particles from the tea; a sifter and vibration unit which removes any impurities from tea and; lastly, a blending drum which thoroughly mixes tea to obtain a uniform blend. The plant has a specially designed and scientifically equipped facility for quality control and for tasting and analysing all teas. The blends of teas are carefully selected by expert tea tasters who take careful note of such factors as leaf appearance, colour, aroma and strength of brew.
Lastly, tea bags are manufactured on sophisticated machinery that produces Double Chamber tea bags with a String and Tag. Note that metal staples are not used to attach the string and tags to the tea bags. Double Chamber tea bags produce a faster and more even brew of tea than the traditional single chamber tea bags. All of this means that Taprobane Tea Company products are carefully chosen and hygienically processed so that our customers receive premium quality black, green and flavoured teas1.
