do you remember? I squeezed the cherry juice on your collarbone - heart beats...
do you remember? I was looking for remedy for your insomnia and your uncolored dreams ..
do you remember? our late rides and the silence of the nameless streets ..
do you remember? the sea wave in the night, the wave that drawn us...
do you remember? the sand, the stars falling down and the campfire made out of the moccasin ash ...
do you remember how the guitar string sang and you sang along with it: "my friend in passing by - the road wind..."?
do you remember: lavender, lemon and almonds and the candle shades drawing patterns on the wall..?
do you remember the handwritten letter and the writing slanting with the signature that was in love with you?
do you remember the depth of our glances over the accidental touch of our shoulders and arms?..
I remember ... and by the way ... not a word about it, I keep quiet ...
and then .. not now .. no need ..
I remember...
Picture
you know
in my next life
i will be a trout
with rainbow scales and
pink-feather fins -
to cut the streams of water
and swim against the current
in the glare of the sun,
in the reflections of mica,
kissing the colored stones
with my lips,
eating grass and moths
for breakfast...
and it will be one morning
you will return to the creek.
you'll be twisting
a random cigarette
till it touches
your lips...
and you will say
"how quiet it is here
and how blissful...
i want so much to be
lucky in love .. "
you will look down
at the tiny ripples of the stream
and you will understand (extraordinarily!):
"I look like you,
you, Stream of Water!"
you will think:
"this watercolor pebbles ..
and this rainbow flare -
maybe there is a trout fish
down there... deep down.
I feel so good here
hugging
with the coolness of the stream ... "
and i... i will read your thoughts
out from the water
breathless...
you know, I am silent not because
I can not speak
-
but simply because
there is a difference between:
"i am loved and
i love"
Picture
I want it so much (almost r.brautigan to my daughter Masha)
I want to mix all the colors in the world drop by drop - and it will be .. your laughter when you read letters from those who are in love with you, those who are as crazy as you are..
I want everyone to cut the salad the way you do it - like music, barely touching the knife, and so that later it smells of honey ..
I want to voice the world with the flexibility of your fingers when you wash the windows in our house and the day becomes transparent like a mirror in which infinity is visible ..
I want to give tenderness of your eyes to the strict policemen who stop us at the curb to check if we had one or two because we are too happy ..
I want everyone to move like you - like rhapsody in blue, like jazz
I want to paint the sky in strawberry (straw-berry blond) - the color of your hair and write at the crossroads: "no traffic lights - travel safe on blue light",
when I want it so much, it finally turns to be true ...
Picture
he said: " I would like to hear your voice... "
do you want to hear my voice?
you know, I think this is a song of silence
do you remember the woman who gets undressed slowly?
my voice is the color of her skin
it is the color of the light of the double flame in that room
it is the taste of her lips
it is the bend in her smile.
there are all the objects with which your room is filled up with:
confusion and chaos of their immobility,
harmony and tranquility of their quiet animation
these are also the items that you can not see
because you believe that you do not see them
because you believe that they do not exist
this is something you can never take with you
this is what connects the forgotten together
it is the smell of darkness and separation by distance and time
it is the end and the beginning, but it is not forever
it is the hot bread on the cold night when you have no one to share your little victory with
this is ice on the hot, dense, honey-like day when you share your loneliness with friends
it is a spray of the sun in the early morning through the open wide window into which summer flies in
this is something that does not belong to you as it does not belong to me
remember? - the rainbow trouts are always silent, so are the wise trees...
Picture
your name is like caress of your hot hands
your name is a vicious circle over water
your name is a quiet flight into silence
your name will not open my lips
your name is a soaring autumn leaf
your name is a gun shot up high
your name is a swallow, an elixir of souls
your name is spring in the reflections of the puddles
it is unpredictability of beingness
am I in your name?
Picture
red rose, leave me!
I am not worthy of your love.
you and I are so different:
I am in motion, you are in peace.
you - swim in the glare of the sun,
rave about bees and fall into foliage;
me - fly the path of the mountain
turn the wind over the waterfall.
you - bloom your buds, barb with your thorns,
velvet your petals and
gloss your five-shadows-leaves.
me - glade above the words strings,
be an artist's brush
draw the water dance...
leave me, you, red rose!

Mighty Mary Book Launch
DATE: Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM
LOCATION: Saint Charlie Bar, Garden & Functions
386-388 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, Victoria 3065
WEBSITE ON THE BOOK: https://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Mary-Max-Davine/dp/1644673398

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Max Davine was born in a suburb of Frankston, Victoria in 1989. He began writing dramatic pieces throughout highschool, and upon graduating set off to Los Angeles to learn the art of writing and pitching screenplays. Returning the same year, he went on to study acting with Peter Kalos at the Melbourne Actor's Lab from 2010 to 2012, the year his first novel, "Terra Domina", was published by ASJ Publishing. As well as novels, he has written for the stage and screen.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Mary was a circus elephant. The Star of the West. She could dance, play the trumpet and pleased crowds wherever she went. In 1916, after a disastrous Wild West show in Erwin Tennessee, acts against Mary the five-ton Indian elephant would go down in history as one of the most disturbing bizarre cases of animal cruelty the world has ever seen.
But, Mary had a life before the circus. She was free once. Part of a wild herd. During the British Raj, she was captured, trained and sent to America to become a spectacle. Along the way, she loved, she lost, she made friends and formed bonds. She suffered heartache and experienced ecstasy. She was a living being.
Please also note that our Butterfly and Fox page with Max Davine's interview was enriched with two reviews of Max's new book: by Roslynne Garwood-Webb and Susan Reynolds http://butterflyandfox.weebly.com/

recommends Persian Flavours Restaurant.
 · Alex took me for dinner today - we celebrate our round dates: 12 years of marriage and 14 years of knowing each other I guess. He said he loves me... How can I love HIM? He still does not know what time the rubbish bin should be taken out : it is not every Wednesday - it is when it is full, you poor naive malchik from chukotka! :) :)
at Persian Flavours Restaurant Forest Hill and loooooove it... one of the best from our Entertainment Book Melbourne ... dinner: bill is humble $20 and the flavors are soooo awesome there...
we orders a combination platter with salad and three skews: chicken, lamb and lamb kotlet - full of flavour meat and good salad. I have not tried their rice (Alex had it) bu the bread was delicious
food: 4.5/5
service: 3/5

221 Home Remedies

2/1/2019

The author of Lukin Longevity System, Natasha Lukin and @InspiringBookShop invite you to read her second and newly released book (print and digital) in Health and Longevity Related subject called
#MyGrandmasHealthSecretsRevealed - 221 Home Remedies
RELEASE DATE: December 2018
WEBSITE: https://www.inspiringbookshop.com/index.php… or buy direct from the author to save on postage costs and take advantage of the bulk print orders
This book is offering simple and easily affordable natural solutions that are readily available for treating many common ailments without leaving your kitchen, your backyard or your veggie patch. The benefits of using natural health remedies quickly become obvious when you start implementing them into your lifestyle.
In a nutshell, they are:
Created by Mother Nature.
All natural.
No harm or side effects.
Cheaper on a budget.
Treat common conditions the way Mother Nature intended.
Plus, they are:
Easy to get. Natural home remedies include common substances like salt, vinegar, bicarbonate of soda or vodka as well as herbs, vegetables, fruits and spices.
Easy to make. A preparation of natural remedies at home such as tinctures, infusions and decoctions usually requires no special equipment.
Not harmful. As most of those remedies are also good for cooking, they are not poisonous or contaminated with harmful chemicals (hopefully).
Wide coverage. Natural home remedies treat a broad specter of minor illnesses: from heartburn, diarrhea or back pain to bad breath, leg cramps, bleeding gums, sore throat or indigestion.
Biological relevance. The active substances of plants and the physiologically active substances of the body are relevant to each other and not contradictory versus how it could be with artificially created chemicals.
About the Author
Natasha Lukin is a scientist, specialised in human biology, positive psychology practitioner, NLP life coach, health educator and writer. But that’s not all. She considers herself lucky being exposed from the early age to traditional knowledge of natural healing and cures. Her Russian grandmother from mother's side used to use simple solutions for common conditions like bruises and cuts, colds and sore throats, and many others. She taught Natasha that her 'kitchen medicine' was always at hand: from salt, vinegar and vodka to herbs, spices and dried fruit. At the same time her grand uncle from her father side was a professor of Botany and the author of a number of books on medicinal herbs. That also contributed to Natasha's early interest to traditional medicine.
Therefore, in her approach to natural health solutions Natasha utilises her scientific background in combination with the traditional health solutions, proven over generations. She touched on that subject in her recent book "The Lukin Longevity System" and got comments suggesting to her to elaborate on that matter. That is how this book has been born.
We are proudly interviewing the author and writer in February 2019. Presenter: Nadia Pleshkova, photographer: Daniel Penn, photos: Stan Traianedes, date to be re-confirmed. please stay tuned!

My Grandma's Health Secrets Revealed

the new interview is planned for Feb 22 2019 for the newly released print book by Natasha Lukin called "My Grandma's Health Secrets Revealed"
the book can be purchased onlinehttps://www.inspiringbookshop.com/index.php… or direct from the author (with savings on postage)
we got together to discuss some details of the interview and as appeared for coffee readings and for my birthday cake (!) - three birds with one stone (and please note the latter is not Emma) - one planned and two surprises...
we will be posting more details about the book shortly please stay tuned...
well as appeared there is no Russian dinner without buckwheat so we also were not an exclusion ... and kitchen is the best place for any discussion (as per many russian kitchens and movies) - the buckwheat was as spontaneous and sudden as the spoon in hohloma pattern added to it and as amazing in taste as the tea from the red poppy flowers... why tea is always so tasty at someone else's place? oh forget about the unforgettable buckwheat and forget about the remarkable berry cake... at Bucatini Restaurant Bar - i think we discovered a new and sensational gem by accident and with the help of
Entertainment Book - just very grateful for this new discovery...
I usually avoid the whole flounder as it might be risky considering the freshness of the fish that is so important for the best taste sensation... No disappointment it was... plus the dish was cooked with love which I sensed with every bite made through this tenderest white flesh... Alex had duck andwe shared the salad. Total bill was around $35 for two as we decided to have coffees elsewhere...

The St Kilda Branch

3/12/2018

REVIEW BY Michelle Schembri-Lipscombe
(for @EntertainmentBook special)
The St Kilda Branch
Popped in for a casual Friday night dinner at The St Kilda Branch tonight with our Entertainment Book Voucher.
Arriving at around 6.00pm, the restaurant was mainly filled with friends grabbing after dinner drinks. Beer on tap, cocktails and friendly service behind the bar! A nice relaxed atmosphere, people were drinking and having snacks both inside and out in the sun.
We ordered a couple of steaks and a salad - with our voucher, the total bill was under $40! I’ve paid more than that before for 1 steak, so I was pretty sold on the place from the onset! For those who don’t have an Entertainment Book Voucher, The St Kilda Branch has 30% off all meals on Friday nights anyway!! What a great deal!!!
My salad was beautiful- Honey Roasted Pumpkin. It had just the right amount of goats cheese, caramelised pumpkin, toasted almonds, balsamic blistered cherry tomatoes mixed with spinach and rocket - all blended beautifully with a caramelised dressings
The steaks were 250g grass fed porterhouse. Served with both salad and chips and a choice of gravy, peppercorn or mushroom sauce. The steaks were beautifully cooked, the chips were beer battered and delicious and the salad was a side serve of tomatoes, cucumber, red onion and lettuce.
Once it hit 7:00pm, the music gets turned up to create a funky Friday night hangout. If you’re looked for a relaxed atmosphere and decent food around the St Kilda area definitely give The St Kilda Branch a go!

London Tavern

3/12/2018

we went to The Camden Town Hotel / London Tavern with Mr Ned Vorkapicand fished
@EntertaimentBook special -
My dish was amazing: all fresh, great fish and the salad was to die for I would not say the same about Ned's dish though very small if you pay full price plus they do not serve buns with butter anymore which is a big loss... I don not think we will go there next year. The place gt renovated and uplifted - there is a whole new and very light feeling about it now... although I had issues and broke my nail getting out of the bathroom - the new doors do not want to work

what a day with a very very late lunch - we were the last ones as the kitchen shut down after we ordered - and so much fresh
air and space around us, so much sun and so much tranquility after running around all day!
we did not even pay attention how the food was but one thought was apparent:
we were happy with coffees, wine, olives and very crusty italian bread and dukka and olive oil, we should not have gone for the mains... but we did: we both went for the duck (Dasha did too)

· Lunch today at Railway Hotel South Melbourne
The place was very busy. We had no idea it was Father’s Day - not because we are illiterate, ignorant and not because we do not watch Tv and listen to the radio (although I think all of the above and much more) but simply because our culture does not celebrate the day. I hate those celebrations also: I believe it is not the date to take your father out once a year , give him one more lame present or just remember him... Your father has to be remembered daily and given presents often just because there is no one else like him and never will be... Anyway, this culture kills me the same way the 8th of March gets celebrated in Russia (the only day the women are not allowed to wash the dishes... as if...) anyway enough of my talking.. back to the Railway business... the place was so busy there was not even one table anywhere.. .however we were seated and offered drinks (the manager of course did not know how boring we were) , The seats and the best table (in the sunny spot of the house) were found for us following my question... but wait... less we expected the food in such a humble place was to die for: cooked with love (and we know what we talk about) , great value for your money and so fresh and tasty - the way I like it , just like at home... no wonder the place was full....
Dear Entertainment Book please continue to include this place in your next year offers - they are superb and we ARE coming back!
we ordered duck and lamb shanks and we swapped to try each other's meals - spotless, gorgeous and high class... - that was the collective verdict
our bill with two coffees: a low as $32 for two
service: 4.5/5
food: 5/5
coffees: 2/5
atmosphere: 3/5
