I thought this modest meal was well deserved and frankly speaking, more by Rouben Dickranian (after his exhausting day with the PUNKY looking crew and all attention from the CBD crowd that we had to sustain) than by me but I decided to join the dinner anyway...

as for us we were so tired that we could hardly speak, move and think.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank this great soul at the table for helping us out with running our projects, for his talent and energy and for taking so much on himself... as for me: I am speechless with this man's generosity and humbleness no matter how strange and crazy he looks to the others.
Entertainment Book special: Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne Fresco Restaraunthttps://www.amorahotels.com/…/amora-hotel-riverwalk-…/dining

3. if there were paintings on the walls we did not notice them...
4. price: $40 for two of us (with Yoshi Lis)
rating it: 9/10 for delicious food of the master chef
5. please note your voucher does not cover the plate for two, please you should not listen to the waitress....but we were generously excused this time... all thanks to Alex.

2. the environment: we wished we were somewhere else plus those paintings on the walls were...mmm... how can i put it to make the artist not to be in tears for the rest of his life... those paintings were perhaps very joyful for the rest of the people present.
3. the fire place was very useful plus the food was very good and warm like the fire... we actually thought it was cooked in that fire but it was not the thought of the week...
4. the price for two: $33.

i guess this is not that time of the year to mention "ice cream" of any kind (or anything to do with "ice") but the flavours at Mövenpick Ice Cream / Movenpick Melbourne Central are so unbelievably divine it is hard not to say "Si" - that's sampling I guess - and it is on the go:
BTW, your Entertainment Book has two vouchers for the triple and double baskets and they will be half price - just check the pages and love your ice cream too no matter what the season is: https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
on the pictures below - sorry , we partially destroyed ours and there is also a nice watercolor picture of the puppy from the talented girl, the artist who was sitting next to us and who was very keen to share her album:
Entertainment Book special yesterday: lunch at Tgi Fridays Southland / TGI Fridays
the chicken is not meant to be boring at all with that superb Jack Daniel's sauce which we both love - it is slightly turning into a tradition I believe with Natasha A for TGIs plus their mash is un-copy-able not mentioning the beans cooked to the perfection. I loved the company and our meal so did my friend
lunch: $30 for two
want to join us? get your book first and follow or steps: https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
Entertainment Book special:
at Kin Vietnamese Restaurant Prahran
this is one of my favorite places in the area - the food is very delicate and cooked with lots of love - anyone can feel it - we did! having chargrilled chicken w/salad and rice;
Cost: $14 for two. Pleasure: Priceless.
Do I make you envy? No? But anyway: https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
Buy your book but you do not have to go anywhere - let the book stay on your book shelves - there is nothing wrong with it... but obviously it will be something wring with You as you will miss out on so many great newly discovered places around Melbourne.
somehow I knew these will be the best pictures: and who can say no to the cacti... when cacti say yes to you!
before that day we also thought that burritos are made out of spikes... we also thought they would be so hot and feeling like you swallow the snake, the iron and the hedgehog at the same time... no, they (burritos if you forgot what I was talking about) are actually not hot - they are mild and taste amazing...
bill: $17 for two for the biggest ever lunch (or should I say: avalanche!)
at Bay City Burrito Hawthorn with Yoshi Lis spying for the Entertainment Book
want to try yours? https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887 but be careful the burritos are addictive like everything Spanish.
" London Tavern Caulfield is the place to meet with friends, have a meal and enjoy a drink, all in a welcoming and comfortable environment. They offer affordable and delicious meals in the bistro and can also host your next function." - this is what I read after being there with Alex for our flounder lunch.
I realized I did everything wrong: "meet with friends" - no tick (I met with Alex), "have a meal and enjoy drink" - no tick (no drink, no tick I mean!), but yes, the "environment" was ok - that is one tick.
Our lunch $32 for two, the fish was out of this world - it was from the under-water world... still like it!
why it was so special? we used of course our Entertainment Book and I figured out that Entertainment Book is using us in return (but all in the good way!) - we like to be used like that!
buying yours? https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
with Alex and Ned at the TGI Fridays Australia for Ned's late birthday dinner. It is an Entertainment Book ultimate spot: two vouchers of 50% off in your book. plus we had a pleasure of observing Ned being happy taking photos of his food.
all i like about it is there Jack Daniel's sauce (Ned secretly thinks it is made out of 55° Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey - the spirit? yes - which I believe is just his ultimate dream - to eat and drink at the same time - he probably has never tried the 360° russian samogon) - with Ned Vorkapic and Yoshi Lis
your book is here (digital or hard copy):https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887 or you can pick up the hard copy from us - we still have some left!
Entertainment Book special: at #HummingBirdElwood. our dinner $32 for two (using the 50% off voucher) and we both had the same thoughts with Alex:
'I should not have ordered the fish with that name 'hapuka"'
...and there are many reasons for that:
~ firstly there is no such fish, nor such name of the fish I guess.. if there is no fish, there is no name... if there is no name, there is no fish..
~ well, I finely found it in the very very rare dictionary: "Hapuku or Hapuka, a deep-water Maori marine fish".
~ i guess the word itself was not right as this fish probably ate half of our portions that appeared extremely small on our plates - way too little for such price (I guess this is also cos "hapuga" means "greedy" in Russian)
~the french owner did not want to talk french with us. not sure we will go there again - the place looked empty and abounded by locals - the neighbours' cafes were all chocolate block full nevertheless the #HummingBird was full of people who were not there... the owner was preoccupied with his laptop not with his customers (3 or 4 there) - we talked and laughed that he probably was looking at the new recipes of hapuka-the-no-name-fish to surprise us...
~ no website either - very hard t check what they serve before going there .. .we were just in the area and popped in - otherwise we would not go there...
~ Alex was sad: he did not want to look at his plate...
~ and lastly, the food was extremely, and i highlight the word "extremely" tasty so neglecting the size we left full.
~ PS. finely, I figured out what PS means - no, it is not Post Scriptum as many would think - it is on the contrary: Pepper and Salt and it should be clean I guess. I tried to clean it - at least for the sake of good photos - not with much success. I guess no PS - no Positive Sound... me Profoundly Sorry...
Entertainment Book special: Ringwood Chinese Restaurant with seafood and enoki mushrooms and vegetables; seafood bird's nest and fried rice - amazing food. we go there every year and their dishes and service are getting better and better. bill: $52 for two with the entertainment book voucher saving $33.
love new places? buy your book and it will take you everywhere: https://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/orderbooks/182v887
one more thing I noticed: the place was getting very busy after 0700pm and there were gold fish flying around the restaurant... it also seemed like everyone was ok with that. I thought it was rather unusual for winter so decided to take some photos... may be tomorrow I will wake u and they will not be there anymore... sorry also about the shades - they were all from the flying fish...
i thought this would be just the right time to share with you our best "eating-out" choices for the last month:

these were probably the best souvlaki i have ever tried in my life plus the potatoes with oregano and greek feta - omg! there was too much food - thank god Alex was more hungry than me - i was not able to finish my souv...
the way these people cook is out of this world plus when the owner found out (by accident of course) that we are snapping for the magazine, our chips were taken out of the bill.

we feature our Nikos Cakes lunch today - your #EntertainmentBook voucher gives you 50% off your main meal. we paid $23 for both with coffees [ i had vegetarian frittata and Alex had something like Greek lasagna - but I forgot the name - the girl told it to me 5 times and asked to remember]. we loved the loud company of Greek people (mainly men in groups of four for some reason) enjoying their Sunday afternoon, coffeeing, smoking and munching. #NikosCakes is one of our favorites in Melbourne - they are the busiest in the area as well. They had around 200 people sitting inside, on the heated veranda and in the sunny street outside in the dense Oakleigh, Victoria, Australia.
I hope this is my last post on food for this week...
