Join Pop-Up Events for our first ever Gangsters and Flappers Ball...a fabulous evening of 1920's stage shows and interactive theatre in the beautiful St Brigid's Hall...a turn-of-the-century Victorian Dance Hall in Fitzroy. Featuring stage shows throughout the evening...Acrobats, Dancers, Songstresses, Vaudevillians, Burlesque Starlets, Jazz Bands, and a very, very quirky Emcee...
Dance to sensational Jazz and Dixieland tunes as we open up the dance floor in between performances...engage in some fun Gangster games during the evening and partake in our best dressed competition, with lots of red wine and Lindt chocolates in prizes!
Actors and roving performers in period costume will take you back in time to the Roaring Twenties, with vintage cars parked at the entrance, lots of seating spread throughout the venue and a free cloakroom.

Come and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of music, presented by the talented Monash music students, in the surroundings of the Abbotsford Convent. At 1.30pm, the Monash Sinfonia strings ensemble, led by our visiting international artist Asmira Woodward-Page, will present exciting works by Alvarez and Theofanidis alongside the beautiful Serenade by Tchaikovsky. At 3.30pm, join the piano students for ‘An Afternoon in Paris’, presenting music for two, four and six hands by Bizet, Debussy, Faure, Ravel and others.
