I want to thank from the bottom of my heart Ivana Tomaskova and Tamara Smolyar and their violin and piano - just separately and together (Duo Chamber Melange duochambermelange.net). Both girls are very special to our Club for many reasons: this is their 5th concert here in the last 15 years - they played a couple of free concerts here too. I am also very grateful to the girls that they decided to donate the money that they earned at the Club back to us to assist us in our work - thank you girls! I am also announcing their upcoming concert Friday 24 April 2015 6:30pm at the Melbourne Recital Centre http://www.melbournerecital.com.au/…/2015/from-the-homeland/ I believe the concert has media coverage already but we will be covering an editorial for their November concert devoted to Gallipoli especially http://www.melbournerecital.com.au/events/2015/eroica/ The music of Duo Melange is beyond any human vocabulary to describe , you have to be ears to hear the harmony, you have to be eyes to see, you have to be breath to be inspired and you have be soul to feel every tender and powerful, deep and light sound of it...
I can not miss Emma Medvedev and her beautiful books and music. There were not enough of her CDs as all of them were sold out last night. For those of you who wanted to order Emma's meditation music (or buy her books) the musician/writer's email is [email protected] for direct sales or you can find Emma's Canadian publisher on line. The music is created to bring you joy and tranquility. The books are knowledge sharing. As I mentioned the books are in Russian language but the music is international. I am also very grateful to Emma for her generous present for the Club - we got her last book (5th) and a CD (the latter was for the raffle)
Teresa Condidorio impressed us with very inventively designed, modern, stylish and classique jewelry collections from Fifth Avenue Collection . The display table was sparkling beautifully with the pieces for every taste. I am glad the sales were very successful and some unique pieces were gone in a blink of an eye... Teresa's contact for your further communication, sales or booking a display party: [email protected]
I kept one very special part of the event for the desert as the masterpieces of this artist deserve a very exceptional place in these notes: Antonina Kozhevets (Ira, Irina Kazhavets) Antonina inherited and learnt an exclusive and very rare skill of embroidery with ribbons. The skill takes years to learn and one art piece takes a couple of weeks to make. Add to this Antonina's talent, love to art, creativity and the ability to see beauty in our everyday pictures that surround us: flowers, berries, trees, birds, snow, blossoming fields, colorful meadows of grasses etc etc... and you will have a perfect blend and a foundation for expressing your soul in the most distinctive way. I am glad that lots of people recognised Antonina's talent too (and that they also could see the true workmanship) as many pieces were sold last night. I am also very grateful as we received one unrepeatable art piece as a gift for our Club to keep too. We will make sure we hang it the most visible place in our house. (I am also very grateful to Victoria Serdyuk for introducing us to Antonina and her family). I am sure we all felt enriched in many ways after last night... Antonia's email for your orders: [email protected]
I am immensely grateful to our media crew who will cover the event: Glen Wilson / GW Photography & onstage pix, Saroj Gunasekara / Flare Galleryand Stuart Buchanan / Third Life Photography with photos that we will wait eagerly. The event was filmed by Christopher Raymond (thanking Dominic Pepe Subbiah and his production team for recommendation) and will be edited by Yafei Yafei and Xiaoxiao Zhang shortly.
I am very grateful to all our guests and thanking Sylvester for the flowers we got (yellow gerberas look so bright and they match the sunflowers from Antonina's pictures) - thank you! / Rachel Sandey. I will also announce our raffle winners shortly.
