Live Performance Australia (LPA) will announce the Nominations for the 16th Annual Helpmann Awards at a function on Monday 20 June at 6pm at Arts Centre Melbourne, The Pavilion.
The Helpmann Awards are the premier celebration of Australia’s vibrant live performance industry and recognise distinguished achievement and excellence in Australia’s live performance sectors including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, opera, classical music, theatre, dance and physical theatre, children’s presentations, regional touring and cabaret.
The Nominations will be announced by some of Australia’s favourite performers including in Melbourne Jonathon Biggins, Jacqueline Dark, James Millar, Brett Kelly, Queenie van de Zandt and Sarah Ward.
The Helpmann Awards are proudly supported by the New South Wales Government, through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
The 2016 Helpmann Awards Ceremony announcing the winners will be hosted on the set of Singin' in the Rain at the Sydney Lyric Theatre on Monday 25 July 7.30pm.
