MEET THE TEAM
Clinton is delighted to perform as Wizard Little Lionel in Wonderland Theatre's next fairy tale Rapunzel. He brings an enormous amount of enthusiasm and over 15 years of experience in children’s theatre. As always Clinton and Alta love watching their freshly devised scripts go from page to stage in a very short rehearsal period. This can only happen with the incredible team of creative people who breathe life into this wonderful story, everyone has to see!
Chris is a country boy who found his passion for performing in Grade 6 when his teachers convinced him to audition for a speaking role in the school’s production of Peter Pan. Since then, he has jumped at every opportunity to entertain.
He has taught drama, performed in dozens of independent theatre productions, co-founded a theatre company, wrote, produced, directed several shows and you may recognise him as the hipster in the APIA ad that aired at half time during the Grandfinal! He only recently discovered pantomimes with Wonderland Theatre and says he’s found his calling. Thoroughly enjoying his free ticket to be as silly as possible and hopefully helping to ignite the joy of performance in the hearts of as many kids as possible.
Ellie is back again for another enchanting tale with Wonderland Theatre. Following her stellar performances as Princess Yasmin, Dwarfess Bossy Betty and Pinocchio, Ellie will finish off her year of Wonderland performances as Rapunzel. Ellie caught the theatre bug in her hometown of Ballarat and she hasn’t been able to shake it since! She has just completed her first year of full time musical theatre training with ShowFit and is eagerly awaiting second year. Ellie is also represented by Centrestage Agency. As Ellie takes on her 19th pantomime, she hopes you enjoy this fun and magical journey as much as she does.
Will is thrilled to be doing his first production with Wonderland Theatre. Will’s love for performing began with being in a school production of Grease at the age of 15, and he has jumped at every opportunity to perform since. Theatre credits include playing Jimmy Smith in the Bairnsdale Production Line Theatre Company’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie in 2016. Since moving to Melbourne from Sale, Will attended the Victorian College of the Arts in their Foundation in Music Theatre course in 2017. He has also just completed one year studying full time at ShowFit which he found to be one of the most valuable experiences in his training.
Jess is an Actor, Director and Producer of theatre and film in Melbourne. In recent years she has become heavily involved in school-based projects, including directing school productions and touring performances as part of Theatre in Education. In 2016 Jess undertook a social justice project and created a theatre piece based on her experiences. She currently tours the show and conducts social justice workshops around Australia. Jess completed her acting degree at the Ballarat Arts Academy, University of Ballarat, and continued her study of Performing Arts in West Sumatra, Indonesia, at the High College of Arts (STSI) in Padangpanjang. Jess is a high school Drama, English and Indonesian teacher and works as a Sessional Academic at ACU, teaching Secondary Drama Education. Most importantly, this is her second time working with Wonderland Theatre and she is thrilled to be taking on the role of the villain! Ah ha ha ha ha ha!
